Great story :D :D I love it!

This story was awesome; it was so quirky and funny. Just about every line made you smile or chuckle or something.

From the very beginning it was hilarious. I mean, the seventy year old neighbor being a badass was definitely not what anyone would expect. It sets the mood for the whole story and gives us just a glimpse of all the funnies we can expect. Then the whole thing about hearing the faint sound of a gun cocking so he relapses back into fear and the clarification of the date... It was just an endless stream of things to laugh at and be entertained by.

John's personality was adorable, what with his quirky lines and obvious facial expressions and reactions to everything. I loved his almost heart-on-my-sleeve way of behaving. Especially his "God, I love you" line. It was so beautiful and well-placed. I loved that he always had a quick response to anything, and it was usually something to make you laugh. I think just this line sums him up so well: "The boy is an absolute nutcase, but he's damn quick with his little remarks." John is definitely the kind of guy I would love to meet and hang out with. He just seems so fun and carefree.

I loved the writing and Kandy's point of view. Her personality and actions were so...funny and original. I love that she had this take-no-shit attitude and it's actually mentioned that she's punched John a few times already – so she doesn't give empty threats! It was so nice to read a character that carries through. I love that she was just as quick and quirky right back at John, so they meshed well together. They had some very obvious chemistry. And John naming what he loves about her had me laughing out loud. I mean, he said it so nonchalantly... "Kandy, I love your bitchy attitude, your short temper, and even your threats to call the cops on me." That last one was just so...oh man. XD Honestly, I didn't see it as a temper problem or bitchy attitude. I really thought she was justified in everything because of the squirrel.

Which brings me to my next point. That squirrel subplot was genius. And so weird. But totally original. Look, I read this story a few weeks ago but I decided to come back and review, so I reread once more. And both times I gasped when he said that thing about...Nutty. The impulsive response that even had them gasping, right before she punched his throat. Oh gosh, such emotion! (Seriously though, I see a lot of that when I drive around...I feel really bad for all those animals.)

I loved the other characters included in here. Beau was awesome and charming and not at all too-perfect or boring, as most authors do to make a point between the male lead and other males. I loved how he still went out to help his friend...after borrowing said friend's car to take out girl said friend likes. It's all such a funny circle of events. Also, Lorraine and Jayden were amazing in that very short scene I saw. I just found out she's the main character of your other story and I'm thinking maybe I'll go read that... Though it is quite long and I don't really have the attention span. Maybe soon. Or later.

Anyway, it really just seemed like a matter of time before she caved, because he was so cute and persistent and funny – if a little strange. That summary was what really caught my attention. God, now that I think of it...the story was quirky and funny from the very beginning! There was just too much awesome-ness for me to mention or pick out and decide what was my favorite so let me just shut up now.

I loved this and I loved the way it was written. Hopefully I can read more of your work in the future (even the longer ones that I'm afraid to go near). Thanks for the read! ]
