Reviews for The Engagement in October
J.E.Wyatt chapter 1 . 4/28/2009
Oh my goodness! This was truly wonderfuly. It read like one of those traditional Regency romances (Georgette Heyer) and not at all like one of those smutty Harlequin historical romance that flourishes the publishing market these days. You use great vocabularies in here, this is what I first noticed. And your dialogues are witty and COMICAL. Especially Miss Kensington. I laughed at her several times. I like the line, "Miss Kensington’s conversation with her “friends” was primarily between herself and herself." Is there a possibility that you might continue this? I'm curious to know as to how Mr Humphries and Miss Poppy (adorable surname by the way) will fall in love. As far as I read, I'm guessing this'll be a light-hearted, humour-filled romance? Or I could be wrong. This could end up being an angsty love story, for all I know.

Best wishes,

June
