I love the ending. A happy doodie "I-love-you-Eric-I-love-you-too-Joseph-let's-get-married" so wouldn't have fit the tone. I felt a wee bit sad that Joseph wouldn't be seeing Brian again, but I suppose it made sense. I liked that it wasn't a completly sad ending either, it was mixed. I feel happy after reading it now, anyway.

You know what? That was really, really unexpected. Until I read 'end' I was mentally going through the various plot lines the story will take. I kept thinking about Brian and how, maybe, the guy's going to blow his head up with denial. Then I thought about Eric and how he sucks as a 'boyfriend' but is somehow an okay guy and that New York will probably change him for the better. Then I thought about Joseph and horrible condition his mind is in and how, maybe, he'll start to improve.

Then you had to end it. Ah. It was wonderful while it lasted, though! Yep. I really liked it. I personally think you should extend the story, make it one of those insane 50 zillion chapters type of sagas that bring him through his entire life. But, meh... it'll probably sicken you.

Still no mansex. Oh well. I can wait.
