I love this. The emotions are so, so true and they make me feel so sad. I don't know how to say it, except...I understand everything you're saying.

How hard it is to say "I love you", how you feel like you are being distant, cold, pushing them away. "Tainting his white wings, turning them gray..." amazing line there. Amazing.

"I don't deserve him." Hoping to drive someone away because you feel unworthy. I, too, have felt this before.

I have to save this in my Favorites. I know this feeling so well, and you express it so clearly here.

The last line rings in my head. "Give me time". Yes, all we need is time. Time heals our wounds.

This shouldn't actually be in "Poetry", but who cares. Blah. Ignore that fact.
