I really liked the descriptions you used in all the chapters up to this point. Everything is really clear and it paints a beautiful picture (or ugly, depending on what it is) in my brain. Lovely :D

You mentioned once or twice that they're in 8th grade, but I keep thinking they're in high school ;_; maybe that's a me thing, but they act too mature to be 13? I don't make sense to myself sometimes, I hope I made sense in that part to you.

I really do not like Ita's cynicism though. at all. stop getting yourself down, crazy chica! it's heartbreaking. :(

oh yeah, I like that you use simple Spanish in it too :D is she Spanish, then? or is it just assumed that people in Jersey would know Spanish?
