You have a good, if not very sad, start here. I like the tone in which you write - it's very real and down to earth.

Don't you just hate when parents dont listen to you? Something to consider, though, is that in order for Keira to be sent to a clinic like that, she more than likely would have to be interviewed by a professional first. I don't know of many places that would just admit someone based on thier mother's words, especially if the mother is still grieving over the death of a husband.
