Holy smokes, fluff overload! That was so squee-worthy. The use of humor and cliches were spot on. It took me a moment to realize who Carter was talking to when he was speaking with Akemi. Loved that he had to get love advice from his little sister! As many other reviewers have pointed out, the High School Musical line was wonderful too. Carter pulling a favor from his Coach, and the cue cards (in particular "But why not try?"), and how he even took into account how she always says no were all delightful. (Although the significance of the time being 11:11 escapes me)

But yes, totally, completely excellent and wonderful one-shot. I will be sure to finally read Heart Lotion after this. :)

Damn good story. The beginning really reeled me in, the middle lost my interest for a little (just to be honest) but the ending was fantastic! The whole cliche thing was seriously unexpected and the messages were fantastic. I couldn't stop grinning and beaming because it was soo cute. I would love love love love to experience that. Just for kicks :]
