Your style is very eloquent and capable. I hope you don't mind if I offer one little tiny critique/suggestion, though. One thing that I find a little disconcerting at times is, in the midst of somewhat timeless speech and a more formal tone in your narrative, you occasionally throw in a word or phrase that sounds very modern-like the modern curse words (example: "...but he had the unfortunate tendency to make really shitty jokes at times").
It's a small thing, I know, but it sort of jolts the reader out of the olden days and doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the narrative. Obviously people have been swearing since the dawn of time, but they didn't have the same ones as we do now.
Other than that, I haven't got anything else to say but...you're very talented, and I hope you keep writing.

So many emotions, so many wonderfully done characters, and just the right amount of drama that you will always find in a Greek tale.

this is a good chapter for the "suffering" deities to get their own back and the ending is really good, a sort of cliff hanger to hera and hephs confrontation (dun dun dunn)

For the longest time, I've always wondered how Hephaestus managed to keep his sanity in Olympus, after all, bored gods and goddesses that cause issues must be taxing on your morality.

Aw! That was an intense chapter. I couldn't help but feel bad for Hermes, because he's probably my favorite of the Gods, but even though I didn't like seeing him captures and imprisoned I still really liked the chapter. I feel bad for Hera, and hope that Hephaestus will grow past his issues soon. I'm sad that this ends here, and hope that you'll eventually finish this story. But thanks for writing what you have, because it was an extremely enjoyable read!

Great chapter. Loved the insight into Hera. I hope we see some Dionysus. He's another of my favorites. I had never thought of it before, but while reading the first chapter of this fic I realized that Hera and Heph could totally bond over being married to shameless cheaters. Glad to see Hera acknowledge that.

I'm really liking this! I love your Hephaestus and your Kabeiro. I wish there was more Mythology fan fiction of this quality. If you think about it, all mythology (and especially the classic mythological works) is a form of fan fiction. There's no reason why we in the present cannot continue expanding and adding depth to the ancient stories.
