This piece is probably the favourite I've read of yours so far because of how much it expands tiny gestures and offers meaning to the mundane, even a simple gesture like making two cups of coffee long after someone else has gone. I loved the symbolism here.

This is wonderful. I loved the way the simple task of making two cups of coffee seemed to be a symbol for loss and hope. (At least, it felt that way to me.)

This is so, so sweet! And I just had to read it because I love coffee so anything about it... I loved the line "He was an old man with crinkles on his wrinkles." Seriously, that line is just perfect.
