Aw, this was so sad. Maybe you actually did mean 'pain' but if you meant 'window pane' than you spelt it tites and the ongoing trend of 'one crow...two crows...three crows' made sense, and kept me reading to the end.

I love the repetition. And there is definitely loss at the end when the crows leave.
