Reviews for archaeopteryx |

![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful. absolutley beautiful. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I’m thinking this is not as strong as your other pieces, it has a dullness to it, lacking the voice, and emotion that your other poems possess. I suppose I can’t really connect to it maybe. Maybe it’s just me. Much love, Juliet. Jules, via the Review Marathon (links in my profile) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the word archaeopteryx. It sounds ancient, noble, wild, all in one bite. " The nowadays unknown " is the best line in this for me. Nice work. There's something about whales... Have you ever listened to Joanna Newsom (singer)? I highly recommend "Colleen" and "Clam, Crab, Cockle Cowrie" for some interestingly warped whale-imagery. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this |
![]() ![]() ![]() "I am waiting for my skeleton to be rediscovered by your hands." Honestly, this line is amazing. I love the way in which you connect 'the first bird' to romance - as if one soulmate is supposed to wait for the other soulmate to discover them in an archaeological dig. That's brilliant. :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() Once again love. I'm putting your poetry on my list of poems I would like tattooed on my body, with your permission of course. -Jessica aka Chidaruma Kamisori. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Heheh. I actually know what an archeopteryx is. I saw a picture of one in my biology book and found it pretty interesting. Well, this is brilliant. The first two lines really set the whole thing off for me. The stanza after (I'm flying) made for a feeling of alone-ness.. And it was interesting. I felt like a was buried just below the surface, imagining a hole to the blue sky opening up and someone standing there. Ack, I think this is brilliant. |
