Well worth the wait though, I think.
I cannot believe she didn't realize it was him. Goodness. I'm surprised he even ended up in jail. Ah well, he's out now and that makes me happy. Even if he's a sadistic jeeerk. And also a murderer maybe. Maybe not. I don't think so. But then again.
I dunno. Buuuut I don't know how she's going to get to the tea party in disguise. I dunno. We'll seeeee.
That is if you don't take FOREVER to update again. :

Big timeskip there, but you did it well. There's only two criticisms I have for this chapter:
1) took too long. I thought you gave up, which made me sad. :(

2) "The name sounded familiar, and I wondered what the girl would think when she never received her gift."
This makes it sound like she had her memory wiped, or forgot who she was, or something weird like that. I found it rather confusing, especially coupled with the timeskip.

Also, what happened to Lyle's dad? If I remember correctly, he showed up in the last couple chapters before the timeskip. Shouldn't he be the count/earl/whatever rank it is?

Anyway, I left you a bunch of criticism, so here's some good stuff:
1) Character. Lyle is such an asshole, but I, for one, really do hope he is innocent as he claims and think Lea should follow his advice.
2) I like this bit: "There was nothing like a delicate orange lily to stave off the memory of Lyle Parker, dangling a bloodthirsty knife over me. There was nothing like the elegance of a rose to help me forget Lillian's cruel smile under the midnight blue sky. And there was not a single thing like a gleeful daffodil to help me stop thinking about the true circumstances behind my father's death." You use parallels, then break them suddenly...beautiful.
