| fairies and snapple chapter 1 . 1/21/2010 I loved this. Seriously. So incredibly funny. I'm always really impressed when people manage to make characters in a one-shot have so much depth and personality, and you totally did! My favorite part was when she was recounting the mistakes she made, and then explaining exactly how it was totally and completely not at all her fault, because he just has eyes that are too hypnotic. Normally, when the main character is a "rule-breaker," I think of her as overdone, and a "poser", but Allie was so cute! Because she seemed to have a lot more depth than that, and wasn't a cliched character. I also liked her interactions with her family. Ah, the whole thing was just so good! |

| CassandraStacy chapter 1 . 12/6/2009 This is really good. I like it! I really enjoy Allie's character (and find it funny that she's named after Allie from the notebook!). I thought it was an original take on the best friends approach and I was happy that she wasn't all like "I love you too." It was more believable because obviously it'll take time for her feelings to develop. Great story! Cassandra |
| beirut chapter 1 . 12/6/2009 I think this was really cute but one thing confused me - the Allie Calhoun thing? The novel came out in 1996 so the narrator would be thirteen, as opposed to twenty-one. I know it's fiction but it was kind of hard to suspend my belief for that. :/ |
