You really emphasis the destruction of a relationship in this, and I liked the metaphor of the cigarette in the beginning, it really brought the scope of the poem down to earth.
The ending was so blasé and so perfect, I can imagine this person morphing into someone who doesn’t remember what happened the night before, but when the morning comes she sees the stain on her carpet and realizes just what she, and the other person is capable of. Keep up the good work.
