I like the overall bitterness of patriotism in this poem, the theme kind of carries throughout and it just reminds me of a really freaky fourth of July. I also like that uncertainty at the beginning that you convey, which gives me the impression of an unreliable speaker, which is kind of usual prose thing, so it was nice to see that blend. I also liked your similes again, you find the most natural yet bizarre things to reference, "as an Easy-Bake Oven"-most creative line I've come across in awhile.

Absolutely love this poem. The American dream gone wrong. Love the descriptions here, and the unbearable heat. This poem is just so rich. Every line has something of its own, something beautiful. Especially the red white and blue thing at the end. This poem is very masterfully done. Great job. I'm looking forward to reading more of your poetry.
