I think it's brilliant that you show Leland's dillemma. When you give some people a finger, they take an arm, and with rich people it's worse; they believe that because they throw money at you, you're supposed to give everything, always. It's a scary situation to find yourself in.
I think this story's strong point is plot and characterisation. Every chapter is surprising and interesting. There are mixed up tenses here and there, some strange details (like why does Leland have to clean the house when a filthy rich guy can just hire a cleaning lady, or why would a school 'not want the parents to help their children with homework'?) and Elise doesn't always talk like a kid her age, but those are minor gripes. Overall this is great. I also love how organic Dominic's character feels. His sudden outburst in chapter seven didn't feel forced to me. We know he's a workaholic a rich lawyer and demanding. It's completely in character. But then again he's not a bad guy, and his sincere apologies are heartfelt. Terrific writing. Sad this is discontinued!

This is an absolutely brilliant first chapter, tone and character perfectly set. Great writing!

Oh how it really pains me to realize that this story may never be pursued again. It really is such a shame especially now that I have become so attached to the characters you created. Regardless, now matter what decisions you have come upon I'll be sure to support them. For this wondrous story you have given birth, only a delightful gratitude I can compensate.

Are you lost in Neverland? Seriously its sad when amazing stories with 20k words have about 500 reviews and are left INCOMPLETE. You build these awesome characters and then you leave them hanging. Its unfair. You should try to get back to this. This story is mind blowing. Loved it. I want so much to see it progress and see the characters develop more. Damn it Girl. Or Boy. Whoever you are. I am now gonna go and check if you have any other stories. Also gonna read your bio. Keep writing and please try to get back to this.
