   MeAsIAm chapter 1 . 1/21/2010 The summary is what made me look further. I love poems, as I feel that sometimes they convey more than prose can. And I feel that this poem was the classic example. Repetition of the last line emphasized that the daughter and her mother are all alone. All the lines contribute towards the common overall image of the poem: wait for the father. Imagery works quite well! |
