I know it's 5 years later but will there be a sequel to this? Officer Carter seemed mighty intent on investigating Jake. I really want to know if Carter's the new guy in town Paula mentioned and if so, what's his agenda?

That is so completely different than what I thought! In the beginning of this chapter, I was thinking Jake may have been some kind of angel but I never would have thought a hybrid. Especially not something related to Greek mythology. I hope Steph believes him because his evidence is pretty convincing.

What is going on is all I feel right now. I can't connect the pieces for some reason. I can't even understand what Jake is. All I know is that he's immortal and I feel like he has a split personality but he's supernatural so it has to be something more demonic other than a split personality. I don't understand and I'm trying to relate it back to the prelude. Their relationship makes me a little uncomfortable because of how Steph is in general. She's so bold when that's clearly not her personality type but I suppose it's because Jake pushes her buttons. But either way, I want to learn about their past soon.

First off let me congradulate you on the amazing story that you have created. Your plot is intriguing with its twists and turns. You have unique characters, and your story leaves the reader guessing at the true motives and well as who the true stalker is.
Secondly, I admire the thought that you must have put into your characters and the aspects of this story. I love how everything came together at the end to create a conclusion that left no questions.
