![]() ![]() Ok. Step 1: write more stories. Step 2: publish them on FP asap so I can read them. Step 3: publish them commercially and share some of your millions with me for giving you such a helpful action plan! |
![]() ![]() The best story EVER! I've read it like 5 times and know it by heart. I never leave long reviews or any at all for that matter but this is beyond FP stories. Please continue writing and most importantly please post them here :-). All the best! Ciao! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved this story! I loved how the plot line became so unique and creative, it completely evolved past the whole "best friend's brother" cliche. The characters introduced throughout were original and well-developed, and really made the story great. Julia was likeable, and I felt myself really caring what happened to her next. Her insecurities and her quirks made her relatable and fun to read about. I felt that she could sometimes be a little whiney and over-think some situations though. For example, when she was told of Mary and Morgan Carter's past, I was perplexed as to how her immediate thoughts were, "Is that why Hunter is with me-revenge?" I thought it was slightly random when it seemed like she already trusted him. But either way, I adored Hunter: he was romantic and sweet, and just so cute. He could even cook. Usually I don't like male leads who are younger than the protagonist, but I felt for this story it just made the romance better. The plot was also pretty nice. I thought that the twists were all well thought out and kept the story moving at a good pace. The only thing that I could say disappointed me was that due to all the changes, by the ending there was no talk about video games, carrotcake, and laundry quarters like in the beginning. By the ending though, I thought all the loose strings were tied up very well-the picture from the 50s (though we never know if Beth was the one who moved it from the library?), Beth's Hunter-caused overdose, Julia's past, and Chris and Mike's future. As far as I could tell, the only thing not discussed was what happened to Brad after he got drunk with Julia and talked about a girl he liked who didn't return the feelings. Did they ever end up together? The book covered almost three years (or at least three Thanksgivings) so I liked how we got to see all of the characters change and grow, especially Julia. But with all that time, the settings changed too often, leaving me confused as to where the characters were living. Both Julia and Hunter had multiple apartments throughout the story and I didn't know which they were living in when at some points, but that isn't that important. All in all though, I thought this was a magnificent story. I loved the ending, it was cute and romantic in the airport, but I was a little thrown off at how the last paragraph(s) were told in the point of view of Hunter, and then an airport employee..? But still, the praises outweith the critiques and I thought this was a great romance and a well-written story. I enjoyed how it was all one chapter (one webpage?) which made it convenient, though I lost my place a few times. Anyays, great story. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I began reading this with the intent to flame, and so I must. You realy, really suck at summaries. Where the hell did 'Cinderella' come from? Immediate expectations of a sappyy, romantic, cliched cros between Inuyasha and Twilight come to mind. That's what I was hoping for, actually. Instead, I get this. How in holy frozen-over hell am I supposed to flame THIS? Well-written, original story with more than one multifaceted character, a protagonist that is gifted without being in the least a Mary Sue, drama that isn't over-the-top despite its serious skews and recurrent themes, an accurate and lifelike setting, and dialogue that is funny, sweet, developed, fitting, and above all spontaneous all make for a refreshingly good read. Your work seems to say that relationships are a work in progress, but don't have to be a chore. Also that they are a matter of striking the right note, gaining understanding, trusting, caring, and being yourself. The sort of thing that actually should get published by someone other than Mills and Boon. ...is what I would say, had you not grossly offended me by failing to meet my expectations so spectacularly. Don't think that because I'm favouriting you and am now a faithful fan that you haven't committed an unpardonable crime, for which you can only earn forgiveness by giving me more, writing even better, and recommending good flaming material. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is a great story and i couldn't stop so i ended up reading this non-stop, anyway this is an amazing story that you have written. |
![]() ![]() ![]() …nice, nice, nice, nice…ok, nice is not the word no mater how many times i repeat it….more like amazing…ur writing stile is mature, and I don’t give a darn rats as about what they say about u writing in first person…is that the expression?, because English is my second language…anyway, ur story made me feel all mushy inside and I fell in love…ok, not in love in love, but u get the point…probably one of the best romance novels I have read…which is not quite that much, but hey, it’s still a compliment….so, my point is…I loved it, in every aspect…great job…:) |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story was amazing. I loved the drama, the comedy, the twists and turns. There was just the right mixture of everything. Your characters were original without being the cliched spoiled/selfish rich kids. Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my god, this was probably the best story that I have ever read! I couldn't stop reading it! There were so many times in it that I either wanted to go aw or bash one of the character's head's in. I really liked how you made it all one chapter It made it so much easier to read without having to worry about waiting for updates and things like that. Thank you so much for sharing your writing, and I def can't wait to read more things by you! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This has been one amazing story. I fell so in love with it. I had exams to study for, but this story has kept me reading until the very end. It was well written, well structured, nicely paced and with few grammatical/spelling errors. I felt like the characters were quite realistic and believable. I could relate to and understand their decisions and reasoning for their actions/words. I generally don't like to read stories about the woman being the older person in a relationship (simply because I can't honestly relate to the feeling most of the time and not because I dislike the relationship itself in others), but your style of writing and your characters have made me quite fond of the relationship your characters shared. I like that you addressed that particular issue of age difference and showed that there would be people in society who would frown upon such a thing. I can't honestly say that the whole story was realistic, but there were many moments that I felt I could see happening in real life. I suppose the non-realistic aspects could also be considered a charming aspect of the story as well since reading can be like an escape into another world. I kind of liked that the whole story was on one page since I never had to wait the few seconds to reach the next chapter. teehee. I also liked it that way because I knew the whole story was complete. (_) I really enjoyed reading your work and I thank you for sharing it by posting it on . |
![]() ![]() ![]() I liked your story (or should one say novel!) veryvery much, too. I agree with your first reviewer, I think that your work really beats some of the novels that are actually published. It was entertaining and carefully written. The plot and storyline was logic enough as far as I can judge. The characters were very believable and 'real' despite the fact that this wasn't a story of ordinary people but then, who really wants to read a realistic romantic story about the ordinary people? After all, stories like this are for entertaining purposes (and that was not an offence!) and for dreaming, so they should be a bit out of our reality. I also liked the age difference thing: it was interesting to read a romantic story were the woman was older, and about the problems and doubts that it caused. The difference wasn't too big though, and 'cause Hunter haven't had a normal youth, he totally was older and more mature than the guys in their twenties usually are. The only thing that disturbed me a bit was the final chapter where you suddenly started to write in the pov of Hunter and finally even in the third person pov. I think it was unneccessary at that point of your story and the change break your story's so far well kept structure for nothing. Otherwise, I have only praises for your story, I enjoyed it very much! I hope more people will read and review your story, it deserves that. Thank's for sharing it. |
