Personally I wouldn't mind the 40 chapters. I always look forward to getting to the new chapter I put everything aside so I might be able to read it.

No! Marla is obviously up to something, how can she not see this? So im thinking when Elise goes there tomorrow , there will be Ryne waiting for her, or Marla will bring Kane to spy on her and Bryan and he'll think shes cheating on him, or...i dont know,i've considered that Ryne isnt even part of all the stuff thats happening, and that Marla's just planting the evidence..but who knows? I cant wait for the next chapter now, hopefully it will reveal something that will make things clearer.

I've only just read this, and was really exited to because i love werewolf stories so its always great to find a new one on of the award sites, and i loved it! I think its something different and i like how you're developing their relationship, considering the arranged marriage situation, and now i find myself liking Kane, but im not in love with him yet, which im hoping was your intention, as you've been writing so that Elise is gradually warming to him as we get to know him better. Hmm that makes me think about how Elise is going to feel seeing Bryan tomorrow if it isnt a trick, and how she will have changed. Anyway, i really like the way you portray wereolves, although i have to admit sometimes it seems sexist, that not even one female is included whenever theres a situation with Ryne and if its a werewolf strength thing, or something to do with pack hierarchy, it would be nice to have it explained in the story.

Kane and Elise are awesome together and I'm hoping that Kane and her will have the blood bond when she goes in heat.

I absolutley hate Marla. Hate maybe too much maybe more like absolutley loathe her with a passion. I think the book she took was Elise's diary and she is somehow going to use it against Elise and try to turn Kane agaisnt her. Maybe she even set it up where Bryan and her would meet and Marla would have Kane visit her and see them together. What makes it worse is that Bryan is visiting her so close to the time of her heat.

This is just a theory but I think maybe Marla could be working with Ryne. :)

I'm actually slightly offended by your characters. You've obviously got a good writing style which is honestly what had me still reading up until now, but I feel this story is so misogynist I'm practically insulted. And it's not like I'm usually much of a feminist either...

The whole 'it's her duty to mate with someone for political reasons' isn't really the problem; I mean this isn't exactly a historical fic but generally speaking, werewolf societies are usually represented as hierarchical, strict, and a bit archaic in their social beliefs. And don't get me wrong; I really do love werewolf stories, ironically in large part because of the 'alpha male' phenomena.

But Elise's passive, accepting reaction to the situation of this unexpected arranged mating makes her seem extremely bland to me. I felt her reaction was like 'oh no, my father warned me 3 hours before the deed that I would be mated for life to a complete stranger from another pack; I will thus cry a few tears, quickly accept the situation and go along with it while hoping for the best, even though I am in love with someone else. I will easily sacrifice my future for my pack!'

How can she not be angry about it! Heck, I'm angry for her! Was she even really in love with Bryan? How can her reaction be so muted? How can she not feel any resentment towards her father or the elders? And really, how does the fact that she knows he chose her a good mate excuse anything?

I mean, I guess the source of my problem is that if this was happening in a society which you had ostensibly described as a traditional one, then her behaviour would have been explained at least in part by her upbringing. I'd still dislike her (just cause I have a preference for strong willed, independent characters), but there'd be a good reason for her attitude (although part of me still thinks her lack of resentment and low key acceptance are a bit unrealistic).

But, with the fact that this is obviously a modern, Western-based society in which this story takes place in, I feel wonder whether you're actually condoning her attitude, encouraging her and women in general to comply with other people's wishes and expectancies, to sacrifice themselves for the good of society. Don't get me wrong, I don't really think you are; that's just how it comes off to me.

Maybe I'm just reading this completely wrong and misunderstanding everything; I'm a bit tired so that wouldn't be surprising lol. Please know that I mean no offense to you as either a person or an author, I'm just reacting to your character. I'll keep reading and see if maybe I get over my issues with Elise, because it is very early on in the story and so it's way to soon to make a final judgment.

Other than that, I think this is a pretty good story. I do like both your writing style and your plot premise.

I just know that Marla is up to something, but what I don't know...I just really want Elise and Kane to blood bond already! Im so looking forward to that, oh, and I can't wait until they finally tell each other that they love each other! This is really great story. You're doing a great job and keep up the good wok! Oh, uh just a quick question, when the wolves transform do they have their clothes on? I've been wondering about that for a while now lol

Oh, as long as your still going to update I don't mind one bit, I know how the holidays can sometimes get a bit overwhelming sometimes...especially with a lot of family and friends to shop for and parties to prepare...whew! So much work...but it's all worth it in the end! Loved this chapter and can not wait until you update!
