Wonderful story-one of my favorites! I like how we got to learn more about Nolan and Levi this chapter. I can't wait for Dmitriy and Shaul to show up again!

WHY DIDN'T I FIND THIS STORY BEFORE? Actually, scratch that. I'm happy it took me so long to find this story, as, judging by your AN'S, and the fact that you started this story in 2009, you're a notoriously slow updater.

I love this. Seriously. It's epically, amazingly, wonderfully beast. I'm a teenager, so those are the first adjectives to pop into my mind. Anywho, I love your characters, you plot, your dialogue, your sense of humor, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU!

Maybe I'm getting a bit too excited. But seriously, this is like, one of the best stories I've read on this blessed site. Every now and then, a huge grin would find its way onto my face and latch on. And on more than one occasion, I randomly burst out "I love it!" as I was reading.

I hope you take the time to read my mini-novella of a review, and...I wanna say update soon, but I now how annoying that can get, so...if you get the time...maybe during a rainy day...where you feel the need to you know, type a couple sentences...oh who am I kidding? UPDATE!

Ek! I've been overseas for the last three weeks with no access to internet (which has been so painful, I nearly threw up when I found out I would be left not knowing what was happening in the world for THREE weeks!) and only returned two days ago. So I was thoroughly excited to find notifications for your story update! (:

So I do hope you update again soon; because as well written as this chapter was, not much drama developed. And we all love drama (even if you leave us hanging...:P).

Ravina~ O I absolutely adore your style of writing! It is always light and pleasant to read. Plus, there is the olden England century and fantasy feel to it. I must say, I've fallen adamantly in love with Levi. Mwuahahahahs, anyone who’d rather frequent in libraries are number one in my book. Plus, he’s a sexy empath~ *swoons* (Maybe it’s because I have a thing for silent and serious guys…) *ahems* Ahahs, so if you happen to write any one-shots about him, I must be one of the first group of people to know~! Ah, there’s not a lot of scenes with Nikos in it If you can, make Nikos and Nolan join forces in pranks-playing in the future yeah? ] (Those cute, funny, prankster types of guys come second in my book teehee).

By the way, have you read the Obernewtyn Series by Isobelle Carmody perhaps? If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. I think her plot and characters will be able to inspire you and motivate you a lot D It's about people (known as Misfits by society) who have special abilities out of the norm. Eg. Empath, Coercion, Farseek, Beastspeak, Telepathy etc. etc. Currently, the 6th and final installment is being written and is published around the early months of this year. I'm not really sure if you'll like the story as much as I do but I find the series amazingly awesome )

There is simply no excuse for my late review, which has become the norm for me. Opsies.

First off, I loved how you used the word 'starboard'. Oh so nautical.

But, as someone who gets very seasick, I must point out that it's a billion times worse down below.

Celeste is one lucky chick- she only threw up ONCE, then she felt fine, then she could play cards. I'm freaky jealous, which is quite concerning, considering that Celeste is a figment of your imagination.

At least, I think she is. :D

I really like(ed) Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It was probably my favorite of the Narnia series. Plus the movie...which I haven't seen... has Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian) so I'm already enchanted.

Oh, and Reepicheep (the only mouse I have and will ever like).

I kinda got distracted from CotT. But... it is a huge compliment that your story is getting compared to Voyage of the Dawn Treader. :D

I really like Celestia's point of view. She knows that Leone is playing the victim card and that Trice is no worse than the other woman. I don't actually feel that Trice is overreacting because it is something that would be upsetting to someone. I donated my hair and I was balling. I do think that Celestia's reaction is a little extreme. Shaul is actually creating a very effective punishment with no permanent damage and a very clear message. Even if it isn't nice, it's good leadership. But since I like flawed characters (even ones that are self righteously flawed) I'm a huge fan of this whole situation. ~jlr

I finished reading chapter 14 and I was blown away :)

I am so engrossed in this chapter that I just wanted to keep reading and reading but I couldn't :(

This story has captivated me and I am really looking forward to reading the rest of it so please please please please please update very very soon :)

Yay, I really like this story. I really love Nolan and Levi, they are freaking awesome. I am incredibly excited to see what Thorns is like and what exactly being marked by Sanu means for Celeste.

it's still kinda surreal how different Trice is considering how she was. i guess pregnancy suited her.

It's such a refreshing change from all those high school cliches. And the fact that you have twins! Wow... sheepish doesn't exactly cover it for me. Guess I've been a silent reader for long enough, although my excuse is that I read from Fictionpress off my phone so it's a hassle?

Either way. It's about time I submitted a review, especially for this story because it's been a long time since I've enjoyed a story this much. I'm not generally a big fan of fantasy etc, preferring to stick with 'real' surroundings but this story really engrossed me. I like the way you didn't make it completely over the top.

And particularly in this chapter, how Shaul came to her aid when she was depressed. We can see clearly how their relationship has changed and progressed. The character development is also excellent. :)

Hopefully, I'll review more in the future!
