|Reviews for Changing Madeline|
| Jane chapter 1 . 5/15/2012
Oh no! I just saw that you took down all your stories.
As much as it pains me to say it, I do think you're doing the right thing in taking down your stories. But thanks for creating such beautiful works that make me smile, laugh and put me in that gushy romantic "I DO believe in true love" mindset on bad days. Thanks for being a writer who stories I use to reward myself for cleaning my room and doing banal chores. ( one chapter, one chore). So thanks, and good luck to do and all your endeavors.

Character pics? Ah, it's probably too late now, right?

So I've been reading this over the past two days and I really enjoyed it. Makeover stories are one of my favourite things EVER. Also, I would be totally down to see someone like Jean Luc do What Not to Wear Canada.
I feel like Madeline could have had more personal control over her makeover that would have established her as sort of seizing her own destiny. However, that could totally just be my personal opinion. Also, page breaks would make scene transitions a little easier to follow - although I know fictionpress has a habit of just getting rid of breaks, IDK why, probably just to be annoying.
The thing I loved most of all was all the hockey time! Loved how you used Montreal as a background; the setting really added a layer of depth to the story compared to placing it in a generic city. Thanks for not chirping the Canucks, that would have made this review a little more sour haha.
Take care, and I'm looking forwards to reading more of your stuff!

Wow. Jeez, just wow. The ending of that just blew me away. I mean, the references to what Vincent's mother had said plus the completely deserved, long over-due happy get together while coming clean. Not to mention the emotional play... Amazing chapter; that's all I can say.
| Eliza chapter 27 . 9/5/2011
I feel like bashing my head into the nearest wall. Telling him it was a misunderstanding? Anyone could have agreed that would have been the simplest and most straightforward way out. And here I was wondering two chapters back why in the world she didn't think of that in the first place.
In other news, I'm also rather surprised: someone from Denmark (or did you move there? Because your English and use of language is almost impossibility flawless for someone in a foreign country.) rooting for Germany? I mean, I highly doubted you were a prejudiced person, but with the still-there bad sentiment in Denmark towards Germany, it just caught me by surprise. Still, it's a pleasant surprise for an hardcore Asian Germanophile living the US like me. (My apologies if I misunderstood any of that, by the way.)

Team Vincent and Team Jean Luc, huh? I know the story's complete so I'll simply have to read to find out who Madeline ends up with, but my personal opinion: I think she looks better with Jean Luc (I like Jean Luc better as a character), but her with Vincent is pretty sweet as well. I guess I wouldn't have an objections in her ending up with Vincent, but I personally prefer her with Jean Luc.
| Eliza chapter 20 . 9/3/2011
You caught me my surprise that you made the whole date and kiss part in Vincent's point of view. Nevertheless, I actually think I liked it better that way. Great chapter; had me grinning throughout!
| Eliza chapter 14 . 9/3/2011
Do I sense a love triangle here? The story's been great so far; I've been plopped on my desk chair ripping through chapters for the past... two? three? hours. Can't wait to keep reading.
| Eliza chapter 8 . 9/3/2011
Jeez, I really feel bad for this girl. She's practically miserable everyday to the point I'm literally pitying a fictional character.
| Eliza chapter 6 . 9/2/2011
Hm, he has a scarf for Maddy does he now? After she forgot to wear hers to work a few chapters back. I find it interesting how Vincent doesn't let anyone in; I wouldn't have thought it from what I've read of him in the previous chapters. He doesn't have any luck with women, and Maddy doesn't have any luck with men. It must be fate.
| Eliza chapter 3 . 9/2/2011
Boy, this girl just has the worst of luck, doesn't she? She seems to be a very routine person: someone who's always consistent and hates change. Considering that the title of this story is "Changing Madeline", I suppose I'll just have to read to find out what does change.
Strange observation, but although Mikhail Grabovski IS a real person, his name sounds suspiciously like Mikhail Gorbachev. Only Grabovski is a Polish name. Anyway, my apologies. It's just me being a history nut again.
Nice author's craft, by the way. Now to continue reading...
