|Reviews for Working Life Like a Burlesque Show|
| SideshowJazz1 chapter 1 . 10/18/2012
I love it! I love this song anyway, so it's nice to see a story based on it.
| Phoebe Melinda Halliwell chapter 1 . 12/15/2009
Great! Good descriptions!
| Isca chapter 1 . 12/12/2009
"You nod at me. I will do." OH MY GOD. I swear, this line nearly knocked me off my seat. It's perfect.
"How much for a f**k? Thirty dollars." Wow. That's really sad. This glimpse into the life of a prostitute is very eye-opening and realistic.
"Go to the backseat." AHH! You just know terrible things are about to happen after this man says that.
"I hear the rasp of your zipper." As if the zipper breathes of knocks down the speaker's fear. Woah.
"I just lie there beneath you and take it." This is such a powerful line.
"You love it when they fight." As horrible as that is, is it bad that I found this line kind of erotic? :P
"Momma, is that you?" Mind-blowing ending.
You should really start writing more short prose pieces like this. You're quite talented in creating striking 'dark' pieces that intrigue me. :)
