The only thing I hated about this chapter was that Lucien was not in it. Woe is me!

It was interesting to hear about Vampire culture. It made me pay attention to the anthropology side of the story, and the two vastly different cultures of the half-angles and the vampires. I have it in my mind that Nephilim culture is based of a sort of high-society Europe/ Middle East/ Indian culture and that the Vampire culture is sort of a weird mix of Native American values and belief system and a European culture. I might have been stretching the last one... Is that sort of where you are coming from? I would love to hear more about that.

I find the social classes and how they interact very interesting. (I'm a Psych major) Bravo to the last two chapters, I think you kept the characters very true to themselves while still allowing growth. Can't wait to see more!

So can I just say how THRILLED I am that you've found the time to update again. Slave of Heaven was my favorite story on fp; it blew everything else out of the water. Your story line was well thought out, the characters had depth, you conveyed tension and conflict, and created great chemistry!

I know you're concerned about keeping Lucien interesting, off-balancing, approachable and yet still reminding us that he's dangerous- let me tell you that you needn't worry. I have no idea what you're doing but it's working. He reads as cocky, flirty, flighty, temperamental, and devious, yet with glimpse of his vulnerability, loneliness, and perhaps a sense of betrayal (from his father?).

I love seeing how Lily is developing. With urges from her Wolf growing will she start physical training with the Spirits or is the instinctual aggressiveness enough for future confrontations? What will Anu send after her next? Will she eventually have to face Anu alone or will Lucien be drawn in? There's some great tension there as well. What does Anu want with Lily: just to restore him then kill her? Corrupt her and use her abilities? And just who is Lily's father?

You give the reader so much to dwell on. Your work is such a treat for imaginative minds. Best of luck to you with your education! I anxiously look forward to future posts.

I love how you've planned out all the history and stuff for this story. It's really interesting to read about all the different races and their backgrounds.

Your updates have the tendency to transform me into some shrieking, ridiculously overeager, fan girl :) Anyway, this chapter was awesome as usual and i loved the mentions of humans being an underestimated race...a far cry from other fantasy fics that try to belittle their prowess or significance in favor of the "other worldlies."

I enjoyed reading about their classes. It gives the story some foreshadowing, too. :D

I like the idea of the different classes, but I'm a history nerd so my opinion is a little biased. Very interesting, keep up the good work :).

I love reading about the Vampire history, it was my favorite part from the first book.
