So I'm really interested to see how much Waldgrave knows about Lily, lol. And, I almost can't help but wonder if Lucien and Masau'u are more alike than they seem, and I wonder how long it will take Lily to figure that out ;) (though I'm not sure if what I'm implying/hinting here is even correct). I really like how you talked about classes of the vampire; it was interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing them sneak into the Night City, and I'm also excited to see how things are with Rune. Can't wait for the next update! Keep up the good work!

Well, I don't think for a second that Luce could come across as boring. The man is portrayed as a constant ripple of energy, shifting gears so fast that it reels the mind. I love him! *sigh* I definitely like that he is trying to tone it down for her, and that he's trying to win her over in his own way. But you can still see how he takes charge: his long strides so that she has to jog; asking whether she likes something but already committed to doing it regardless of her answer. It still shows that he isn't one to be lead by the leash. Very well done!

Nice little bait to lure the readers into the next book. It's well tempered with enough of foreshadowing to make us curious to read more and know what will happen. But then again...with Lucien as a promise, how can you not read on?

I'm glad you didn't put the giant in this chapter... Would he even fit in the building? Haha. I like the idea of the slaugh.. Plus the clothes that it's wearing adds humour to the fight bit :). I like the lily lost herself during the dancing... It portrays that luce is changing her a bit.. Because I don't think she would've done that before everything happened. I can understand that you second guess yourself with luce... He is a bit of a tricky character to write... Well i think so. Because of all of our love for him (haha), and getting the mixture of niceness, meaness, cheekiness etc etc right. You're doing a brilliant job with him. Don't u think we'd tell you if we didn't like where you were going with him? Love the story. Xo

Gerg, I see how it was a bit forced. Seemed like you had trouble linking the events together, some of the transitions (like going from smashing heads to dancing) are a little weird.

But other than that I really liked it! I can't say it enough: I love Lucien as a character. I think his sort of... emotional morphing (if that makes sense) is a key part of who he is. You said it yourself in Book One: Born vampires are great adapters. I think Lucien sort of embodies that trait in that he can morph his emotional state to fit his needs and the situation. For instance: he can kick arse and be full of rage once moment, but when he sees that Lily is upset he becomes more cheerful to coax her out of the mood (and it works). These two are really well matched, I can see it already.

Can't wait for the next chapter! Good luck with applications and puppy training (yikes, that can be REALLY frustrating) and congrats on the house!

Good luck with Grad School applications. I'm sure those are a beast! And congrats about the puppy AND a house. As far as the chapter goes, I thought it was wonderful. Lucien was very well done, and I liked having Kris in the chapter (he was always one of my favorite minor characters) especially the cryptic warning about Lucien. So far as how you're portraying Luce, personally, I think you're doing great with him. I love how he's both completely carefree, but also darkly dangerous. If that makes sense at all . . . anyways, wonderful chapter!

I'm super excited that you updated, I had to read the story and skip out on some studying time for my AP US midyear tomorrow. But whatever it was well worth it! I hope you get into NYU or Yale for Grad school, my sister is applying to Grad school as well so yeah, I kind of know how hectic it is. If you do get into both and you don't know which one to choose, I just have to say how amazing NYC is, I love living here except I want to leave it for college. But yeah whatever, I'm a city girl at heart.

Anyways yeah...back to the story. I'm surprised that Lucian wasn't mobbed by rabid fan girls. I hope to see his rockstar side in the story soon. But I'm loving the development. Hope you update soon but if you need to take your time it's okay. No need to pressure yourself!
