I enjoyed this chapter with Lily always being thrown off from what Lucien says. I really can't wait for the next chapter though from what I read in the sneak peak in Book I.

hehe, didn't mean to freak you out. i can't believe you updated so fast but heck i'm not complaining.

ahh lucien...boring does not come anywhere near this chapter. i found myself laughing along with lily at his stories. he's more well behaved which makes sense cos he wants lily to fall for him but he's still mischievious and i think thats what makes him lucien. keep it coming. ;)

Sometimes, it's hard for me to believe that you are so unsure when writing Lucien because he, more than any other character, really comes alive. You shouldn't worry so much about his personality coming across because it's definitely there and I was so glad to see him! The chapters are always entertaining and the date was an absolute delight! I'm so glad you're back and writing and can't wait for more!

PS: I hate that she's getting married and I love how Lillith's breaking out of her shell a little bit- or at least, being exposed to things outside of her comfort realm.

I'm glad there was more character development in this, I almost forgot that Lucien still doesn't know Lily's heritage. I'm still confused about this mate business, because Lucien seems so sure that they are the last wolf, and if they weren't, does that mean he wouldn' have chose her? Or is it some other tell tale signs that he had to choose her? I'm sure I'll understand more of it as I read on lol. Thank you.

Oh, so Anu was the vampire god? Lily's fashion sense is so fitting. I really liked the part when they were at the check got better and better the more I read. I kept having this "aww" smile when I came to the part where Lily ordered in the restaurant. That father question was so close. I wanted to see that happen. I wonder if he has any suspicions on that matter. If Lucien were real I'd love to converse with him.

Awesome! Update! And to think I was about to go to sleep . . . just so you know, I stayed up until 5 last night (this morning? _) rereading The Slave of Heaven. I blame your wonderful writing.

I don't think that Luce's form of dancing is anything that Lily has ever experienced before. I'm already excited to see what happens in The Lion Den. (And the promise of a kiss and a moment without his shirt . . .)

I really liked how he gave her time to pick out what she wanted. And the stories of the women who throw themselves at him. Actually, his reaction to being a blood celibate all together! He was trying to behave, that was obvious, but there was def. arrogant Luce sneaking through, and the indication that he liked her wolf not her persay. Particularly when he says: "I see you falling in love." However, he doesn't indicate that he would be subjected to any of this "falling in love" business. _

Anyways great chapter! And the more painful the shoes the cuter they are, that's my motto. )

Alright, i've have a question to ask. Is Lily's brother Alec in love with her? I mean, maybe i'm just reading into it a bit more than necessary, but I've been getting this feeling from book one. Do you think you could tell me? Its been driving me crazy. Thanks!

So, I really liked this chapter, of course, lol. It was a little weird though with how close Lilth and Alec were. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed like they were a little too close for brother and sister, lol. But, I do love that he is so protective of her, and I really don't like Sorin. So, I really hope that it isn't him that she's marrying. Speaking of marriage, I can't wait to see how Luce reacts when he finds out that she's in an arranged marriage. I'm really looking forward to that, almost as much as I'm looking forward to seeing how he reacts when he finds out who her father is ;) And, I loved how it was him at the end of the chapter; I thought for sure it was Assialyn calling Lilth, and then when it was Luce, I was like, AH! LUCIEN! *squeals* And, I think you're doing a great job of writing his character. Even though there wasn't much dialogue b/w them in this chapter, it still felt like the same ol' funny, carefree, sexy Lucien Mesonger :D Can't wait for the next chapter! Speaking of which, wait to update so fast!

yay! I love new chapters! Alec confuses me a little, though. To me it seems like he loves his sister, like a girl and not his sister. Does that make sense? I'm very close to my brother, so I get a lot of the stuff he does, but some of it seems like it has more meaning behind it.

Anyway, great chapter and I cant wait till the next one! XD

EKK! New update:D Lol the marriage ritual actually perfectly fitted. Since alot of their customs seem to be slightly sexual and male supremity-ish. Oh I like alec. I smiled and laughed a good few times when reading it...in a good way:D And of course Luce...(cough) um i meant Lucien...yeah, well anyway hes always fun and i liked when he said Not at the moment. And i cant remember if we met the Lord Archon in first book, but if we didnt you should add some more description on him. Actually since this is a seperate book you should anyway:P Or are you waiting till another chapter? Regardless a very good chapter. Sorin...Well its hard to hate him, since hes young and no woman can say a bad thing to his face...but still leering kinda ruins mood:P Its actually incredible how well characterised the characters are
