The part with Alec saying "Has he no sense of propriety?” reminded me of that part in Pirates of The Caribbean I where Governor Swann says, "See, at least the boy has a sense of propriety"

I think it makes it easier to relate to if it has a pop culture reference like that. I also love the Bard and when Lily sees how the Nephilim aren't near as perfect as she once saw them :)

i think that the sacred marriage ritual was good, it gives a sence that it is something diffrent, if you get what im saying. i feel really sorry for lily, that the one thing she loves like her music has been taken away from her by something she doesn't even want. I also really like the friendship that is going on between her and Aislynn, someone who knows what has been going on, someone she can really trust. I find the fact the her sister and Constance are trying to find her a husband very amusing, but i really don't like Sorin, he seems way to confident and...what's the word? agrressive? stuck up? i'm sure you know what i mean. but there is something about him that is really uncomfortable. I would love to know what is going on with Alec though, he seems that he loves his sister in a way that is more than brotherley affection, would love to know where that puts her. And then there is lucien, i can't wait to find out what happens there! i can't wait for the next chapter to come out, its amazing as always keep up the good work. :)

Wow, umm...that was a uhh *Coughs Awkward blush* very interesting ritual. I understand it was done in many ancient religions and its part of the Nephelim culture but I have a question, are childeren present at that kinda thing?

For some odd reason, its not just because their close or anything, but I get te feeling that Alec wishes he WASN'T Lilith's brother. He's very affectionate and protective.

I think the food types the Nephilim have are so perfect for them. I really appreciate how you remind us some things like who was who and other stuff, e.g. Seraphim. I didn't know there was more ways to show how imperfect the Nephilim music was. I like it.

Lucien is so much fun. My favorite part was their conversation.

i was pleasantly shocked to see you updated so fast, hehe. and i think this chapter's great. i was squealing (inwardly) when lucien made an appearance - i loved his first line. alec is cool too but the vamp's my fave. ;)

You know that feeling Lilith got when Countess Shandilya was first announced? well.. of course you do. You wrote it. But yes, that feeling is kind of how I felt when I saw that you updated. The only difference between Lilith and I in that aspect is that I wasn't disappointed after. :D

So my favorite line in this chapter was from Alec: "Has he no sense of propriety? He was leaning so close I thought your shoulders were going to touch." I don't know why I found it so funny, other than the fact that it's so different from today's idea of "propriety" (which sadly is non-existent!)

I don't think that the Sacred Marriage was weird, but only because it was a big part of culture in the ancient times, so it would make sense for them to have it. However, was this her first time attending? Since it's been awhile since I've read the first book, I was wondering how it all connected.

And I'm so excited to get to hear from Luce . . . can't wait for the date scene! Heh!

An excellent beginning for the second book, as it introduces what Lily is going through. I am curious though as to why Lily isn't showing more concern over the marriage... it makes me hope she has a plan to escape it. I'm also dying to know if she will ever confront her mother about her true father..
