|Reviews for Broken and Forgotten|
| lipleaf chapter 1 . 1/16/2010
I love the mood of this poem. It's so complex and mixed. The despair and sorrow is tangible- it makes a picture an abandoned china doll, thrown against the sidewalk and left there, shattered into tiny pieces. But there is a subdued sort of hope as well- despite the fact that the doll is broken, strangers are willing to pick up the pieces and try to put her back together, even though they get hurt in the process. It shows that the speaker isn't totally alone, that someone out there still cares.
The imagery was strong, especially at the end.
