I totally cant believe that I missed this story all these months. I started it last night, and I couldnt stop reading. The characters are so memorable, and I kept on laughing-especially during the part in which Ryan quoted from chick flicks. I cant wait to check out the sequel!

Ella's narration is very conversational and easy to follow. It's like a diary, almost. It's like I'm exactly where she is, experiencing everything with her as her, instead of merely reading about her. She's not the typical conservative best friend of the wild-child, but then again she's also not a wild-child herself. So far, I would say that she's a comfortable mix of the two. Which I think is more realistic than most of the the cliche best friendships here on fictionpress.

I love how REAL you make these characters feel. Tiffany's, in particular (which I'm sure was the intent). The way you set it up, it's like, amidst all the stereotypes and plastic-fake smiles, there breeds humanity that's tangible and understandable and likable. I especially like that it hints to the genesis of the stereotype itself-yeah, at first glance these people seem exactly like This-only then you turn around and say, "But wait. You're not seeing everything."

The only thing I would say bothers me is how choppy things are. I mean, the prologue-okay, it's a prologue; they have the right to throw you off-but then you jump back a month ago, jump back three years ago, jump back to the present, etc. I'm following, yes, but it can be confusing.

Doesn't mean I'm going to stop reading, though. I'm still really liking this story. I just thought I'd point that out, if nobody else has yet (and I can't admit to checking. 490 is a lot of reviews to sift through). However, I have to say that I'm not really one for cliches, so acknowledging that this sort of feels like one, albeit one that's been intentionally warped, is strange for me.

A prediction: Ella's going to end up with Ryan, and Tiffany with Caleb. Considering the last two, I bet it'll be one heck of a ride to get to that point, but it will happen. Of course, I'm developing the feeling that Ella and Ryan has been made painstakingly obvious from the summary/prologue for a reason, but I suppose the getting together part IS the point of a romance story, huh? XP I can't guess how it'll happen, and that coupled with my interest in the characters is keeping me reading.

So, I had to read this over 2 days, because I don't have TOO much time and sometimes get distracted. THIS WAS A GREAT STORY. I absolutely LOVED the plot, and the format, and the of course the story itself! There were so many hilarious moments in there that made me laugh to death, moments where I felt like I wanted to cry, and moments that made me want to scream at them for being so stupid. But that's how stories go :)

Thanks so much for writing such a wonderful story and I'm going to look for your sequel now. This story deserves so much more reviews and such than it has right now! Keep writing!

haha i really like this. i love the fact that its not about the main person for once, but i do think Ryan turned into a bit of a sap in the end. Also , i was absolutley horrified by that fake ending. all i could think was that was way too many gun scenes in one story. but i thought it was pretty awesome that it was a dream.

really loving ur story so far! but i find u dont do ryan's povs well. it doesnt seem like how a guy would think. esp the letter. it's very nicely written, very poetic. i love the language. but it just doesnt really fit with ryan's characterisation. he hides behind his cocky self with ellie. seems to me he'd do the same w himself.

loved the ending very very much! especially ellie's long ramblings haha. i look forward to the sequal!
