Honestly, it was not quite what I expected from the summary given, but nonetheless, I quite like it. :)

It didn't really have a plot, as such- well, it did, but it didn't; you know what I mean -but then, that isn't really the entire point of a monologue, is it? It carried a moral and I think you delivered the message effectively with the use of the persona you chose, which is good.

Grammar and spelling were also good.

All in all, good effort, keep it up. :)
