So, here's the thing. I just finished pulling an all nighter for this story - something I rarely ever do. Because of this fact alone, you should be congratulating yourself right now. Your story is definitely a new perspective that I don't think is often - if ever, explored. Since I noticed you bringing it up often in your notes, I'm going to ask a friend to take a look into reviewing your chapters for you. Please keep in mind that she is very honest with her opinions and dedicates a lot of time to any piece of text she reviews. I'll have her send you a PM over the next week to confirm if that's okay should she be interested (which I suspect she'll have a hard time not being). You managed to write this entire story cliche-free, with no cringiness stories usually have when their characters suffer some sort of trauma. You made it so much real-er, and I feel like I've just woken up from a dream...

This story is really incredible, the plot line is beautiful, and unlike normal cliche stories where you can easily predict what will happen next, the story has all these unpredictable twists and curves.

I look forward to your next chapter! You've got me waiting.

This chapter was really nice. And I love how you've got us readers to this point where we have started Toole Hayden. I remember thinking how much I don't like Hayden nor trust him in your initial chapters. But at some point I had a change in my thoughts about him. I can't wait for the next chapter ! :)

Anyway, I did notice that in either this chapter or the chapter before you got the art teachers name wrong. Or changed it and didn't change the rest. I had other noticings as I read, but I can't remember them at the moment... oh yeah! She said he made a promise. About their relationship? I wasn't sure to what she was referring. Not to kiss her again? I don't remember reading about it.
Keep writing! Don't stop! I want to see it all. Whether Alys can handle the unveiling, if she breaks again, if her dad shows up, if Hayden takes the fall he thinks he will, where their relationship goes, how Karri fits in... I want more. Please.

I just love how Hayden is around Alys and the gentle side that shows and we know its genuine.
Honestly what I love most is how realistic this story is the world isn't sunshine and rainbows.
