I can see where you are going with this poem because I've not had the best love life either and I've wished for a numbness before as well. While most people can only see this as a depressing poem, I see the glimmer of a happy ending in that last line where the hope (even though it's hope for numbness from love) is still present. Keep writing poems and I hope all of my reviews have been helpful.
