Will I ever get to read this story?!

This was a beautifully written story. I loved the whole plot and idea; something about stories about musicians and artists draws me in. I liked Hazel a lot, especially her lack of girly-ness and how in love she is with music and writing. You can see her passion through her character. Dai was sweet and fun-loving, so when he learned about Hazel's pregnancy, it was clear that he was torn and scared about it. The whole band, in general, seemed lovely, and each member was characterized.
Things that if you were to go back and edit that I would change:
-I felt that I got confused with all the minor characters. Also I don't know that Will's wife had a different name in chapter one. (Her name was Lucy, right? In Ch 1 I think it was Rebecca...correct me if I'm wrong.)
-The ending SDFHISDHGWOIGFNSIOF. Okay, well obviously because Robbie died. Especially because of all the band members, we knew least about Robbie, so it just seemed wrong. The flashbacks in the second to last chapter were a nice touch, but they were hard to differentiate (maybe italicize them). It would have been better if they were sort of just a portrayal of Hazel's anxiety and fears instead of real. And the ending was really abrupt. Maybe there should have been a few more chapters to spread out the impact, instead of it all just ending.
Otherwise, up until the last last few chapters, I loved it. Good job, nice read. :)

I loved it. It's amazing story. You writing is awesome.
| Figgalina chapter 34 . 10/23/2011
Spent the morning reading this in it's entirety. So well written. Loved the characters, the story, made me cry.
| katmama chapter 34 . 10/14/2011
Wonderful story. I love the way you handled the ending. The disjointed fragments are very real feeling. When you are going through something like this, it's fragments like those that stand out.

Oh crap, I just did the number one thing no reviewer should ever do...I peeked at the reviews for this chapter and accidentally I think saw a spoiler :[ Stupid me! Anyway, ahh I'm going to forget that I read that. And ohhhhh, I see what you're doing with the flash-forwards now. Right, right. No I like this in this chapter. It gives it a film-like quality. Good cut-scenes, etc. Sorry for my meandering with it in the last chapter-I understand what you're doing, the stuff with the flowers and the sympathy from the last chapter makes more sense, I hadn't followed her movement close enough (my fault!). Definitely a fun idea. Eeeep! Love the ending, too. That whole progression. I was getting chills when it was revealed that Robbie died. Very emotional, and I think it's fitting that the ending be bittersweet. I don't think you can pull through with 100% happy romances these days with a threat on everyone's life-still I'm glad you didn't off Dai for that reason either. I had a suspicion that the other members might be up for grabs by the grim reaper but I like that you took our suspicions away by making it sound like they would all pull through and then having the relapse, etc. You really played us up to the end. I think this is one of the first stories I've really committed and read through until the end and I want to thank you for a wonderful read. These characters were very fun, I loved the premise of the band, the focus on the band members, and of course, our main, Hazel. She was unique, and I loved her strength. Well done on this one, it was a great read.

Oh man, Private Eye takes me baaaaack. I haven't heard that song in FOREVER. That was one of my favorite when I was younger. I was reading this and was like, "Why does that sound so familiar?" and had to go look it up, XD. Love that guitar riff. Anyway, totally listened to that during this chapter. Hmm, I'm not sure I got the flash forward flash back stuff...maybe I got into it too deep...but I mean, I liked the build up to when Dai awakens-I think there's a flash-forward there? It did feel like something was up with that transition but frankly, I was so relieved that Dai was awake that it pulled me right into reading. I'm so glad he came back and this ended on a happier note. Interesting that he'll be out within 24 hours too, that was a relief! I'm glad you give us one last hurrah here before the end of the story to kind of keep everyone on their toes. The stuff with the twitching of the finger-building up that tension, that was well done and a smart move. Enjoyed this, liking the last line, loved the integration of the music, etc. Always a pleasure to get back into this, I feel terrible that I never finished it when it ended, and it has been so long. I feel like you're constantly coming out with new work too, haha! Anyway, Dai remains a favorite, and looking forward to seeing what you do with the last chapter.

Ahhhh! I love the ending idea with the music, that is genius. I can't wait. I'm really loving Dai even more than I already was now, he is absolutely my favorite-he can't die! Sorry for all the reactions, but you've really got me into this. I'm loving the emotion and I can visually see everything so clearly-I liked the moment where you established setting with the posters in the room, and how that had to do with the worst case as well, I really hope that it's not foreshadow-at least the family counseling one. And omg, if he wakes up only to say a last word and die or something, I will not be able to stand it. I really like the part about contacting the families too, was very realistic, also enjoyed the discussion with Andy. That really kicked things up a notch for this chapter. It was also scary to get his side of the story about how he was even sleeping through it. Really interested in continuing and hopefully finding a happy ending somewhere in all this sudden chaos. Oh! And I also love how you're still revealing back story about Dai even this far in, and how it makes sense with the ADHD thing-I liked the explanation and the turn to the guitar in his younger years, it makes sense, it fit. The descriptions of him seeming so unusual not moving were lovely, that really made me feel such sympathy for him and also realize what a cool guy he was before this too. Can't wait to continue.

Is it time for me to finish this? I think it's time for me to finish this. ...Oh man, and what a harrowing chapter for me to come back to! I was wondering what these last four chapters could entail, especially because I had seen the happy ending right on the horizon. I like that you give us this last twist. I'm really hoping Dai doesn't die, that would be a huge downer for the audience and Hazel, for sure. I definitely didn't see things unfolding this way. I like how you have her denial that it's him, though, it says a lot about her character and I think also on the concept of denial in terms of trauma. I'm wondering what Dai will be like when or if he wakes up-if he'll be the same sort of Dai. There's a lot of sudden development happening here, really testing Hazel, for sure. Now I have to read on to find out if he lives or not!
| Misaka Mikoto chapter 1 . 8/15/2011
I think it's just me. But I get off this quaint feeling off this story and it makes me feel nostalgic. Cant really find anything to criticise for the story and I would love to read on.
| lookingwest chapter 30 . 6/19/2011
Ahh! So I noticed you started up a revision of this same story-I need to finish this so I can get over there and compare, bah! Must review, and know, ending! XD And oh yes...I remember what had happened last chapter...poo. I can't wait to see how all of this stubborn drama will unfold with ze boys...
_ Her dad HUNG UP ON HER? Gawd. This story continues to always gain shocked response from me, XD But yeah. Reaction: surprise. I know he like...calls back, but still. I was really feeling for Hazel right there so I like how you mixed in the lyrics and everything in her moment of panic and the feeling of being alone, it's just really heart-wrenching, all of this. I just want to give her a hug, you're pulling her through a lot, but I know in the end she has to come out alive!
I am relieved though, that her dad came round there, it was a scary low spot but picked right up again, and even through all of this, I still am not feeling 100% uplifted by the end there either. I did like that Dai didn't reveal her, though, that was good of him. He's making me nervous for some reason...or meh, it's more his friends that are making me nervous! Looking forward to how it will unfold either with Hazel's parents or dealing with the fame that might come with seriously seeing Dai.
| Ginger2526 chapter 34 . 6/8/2011
Such a good story! loved it! even if you killed robbie off. It was so nicely written, and never seemed fake or forced. But at first I thought you meant Dai died and my heart just sunk, well it still sunk for robbie but it wasn't as bad as if it was Dai. But still a good story!
| lookingwest chapter 29 . 5/25/2011
Woo, it's been awhile! And ah, here I was thinking we were close to the ending but it looks as if we've still got a bit to go! I'm interested to see what these last few chapters might escalate too, at any rate, hopefully it all ends up okay, haha!
D: Andy! What an ass! Enjoyed this chapter but wow, the dialogue-I don't know who these men think they are but they're all being extremely annoying! I like how you set everything up with Hazel getting to know Dai's brother, it's a shame no one is 100% supporting them without some sort of hang up or anxiety about it. I also wasn't a big fan of butting in with pressuring her to move from London, all of this is quite annoying, I wish everyone would back off and stop judging them. Hopefully Dai can shed some help with Hazel on the situation right now, I hope they don't like about what was said-at the same time, we'll have to see if this escalates the break up between some of the members in the band-hopefully it doesn't, but they are being quite immature about stepping back and letting it be Dai and Hazel's business about what happens! I love what you do with the characters that way, you always throw them for a loop and that's a great idea because it's again, creating development for everyone. Liked the emotion from Hazel at the end. Again, your dialogue continues to be a wonderful strength of this story, thanks for the read!
