could you possibly not make the chapters longer?

ps: Cornwall to London in a CARRIAGE? Whoa these girls have been through a lot. And ths story is so promising, I'm wondering which sister will be with lord dressden: Emily or Liz lol

and it's a bit like lil women isn't it? With the whole sisters dynamics. I could be completely wrong on mostly bcuz I haven't picked up LW for so long.

the only critique I can come up with is that there are too many characters introduced too fast.. it was a little hard to keep up with all the names and who's who... but i got the hang of it by the end of the chapter... :)

Yay - I love historical pieces!

I love the three girls - Emmy, Allie and Liz. I think I favour Allie at the moment purely because of the stomach rumbling incident and her shy little "pardon me" afterwards - though I think Liz's pluckiness is both admirable and likeable for that period, and Emily's nickname (I know that's shallow, but...) of Emmy is cute.

Dressden is interesting. He doesn't seem too 3d at the moment but I trust that it will develop; I can't wait to see more of him because I kind of like him, but then I kind of think he's a douche as well. (But that's a good thing, weirdly - I love them kinda characters) I wonder how Dressden will grow as a character having now been put in this situation.

There were only a few typos, one of them being:

"Our parents have been death for seven years, sir." - dead instead of death

But I can't spot any glaring errors. Though the dialogue is a bit casual for the time, it's not completely modern either so I do get a sense of...well, historicalism. That's probably not a word but I can't think of the right term. ;)
