T.T I can accept this ending for Lingyun and Fengbo but I wanted to at least see one or two paragraphs describing the prosperity of Yue under Lingyun at the end...so that I can comfort myself that their decision to end things was at least for good...

Thank you for this amazing fiction btw, I think this story is even better than the popular Chinese BL novels like Hua Hua You Long or Feng Yu Jiu Tian.

A badass, smart, dominating 'bottom' intricate, epic plot BRAIN ME EXPLOSION!

Yes. I enjoyed this thoroughly, and although I knew this sort of ending was inevitable, I still felt sad. Hmm. Congrats for writing a fic good enough to make my heart choke and drown in despair and frustation, subsequently causing me to lose 10 years off my life. But that was still an understatement of the sheer magnificence and its heart-attack inducing amazingness of your novel. You absolutely deserve thousands of kowtows (haha, chinese phrase) and poetic songs of praise.

However I'm just (a liiiiiiittttttle bit) unsatisfied. I would love a sequel to tie in loose ends regarding Chunmei and Juntao. Seriously. I expected more Chunmei to exact revenge. That would have been amusing. And Juntao needed someone. Couldn't there have beeen a threeeesome? .

Anyways, I noticed that fiction press didn't seem to include the epilogue chapter of this fic. LJ has it though-YAY!

Gosh, what a bittersweet ending ( T A T ) I spent the whole day reading everything! Thanks for the great read! Haha this ending is the most realistic, sadly :C I wonder how Fengbo coped too :C

I bulldozed through all these chapters in just two days...I really enjoyed reading this story :)

Good story, fantastic characters. Just a few things though:

The ending was too abrupt. It felt premature despite the epic length of the story. Fengbo's wife seemed to preparing for a huge scandal, I was expecting her to find out what was happening and play a bigger role in the ending since you gave her center stage at one point, but nothing came of it and it feels like a loose string. Also, Ruixiang seemed to have been building up to something but then he completely disappeared, another bit that felt like a loose end. Might want to downplay their role if you edit this later on.

Aside from the ending, there were several places in the story where the writing slipped into modern-day slang, using "yeah" in thoughts and conversations, and resorting to loosely phrased sentences that would have been more fitting in a contemporary piece than this setting. It was especially noticeable because it was at complete odds with the tone you'd been using during the better part of the story (especially at the beginning).

Aside from that, very intelligent stuff :) Thanks for sharing.

Everytime I read this story (done it several times, yes), I want to kill something, haha. A part of me hates you for making Lingyun and Fengbo suffer for the rest of their lives. It's just so heartbreaking. Don't even know how many liters of tears I've cried over these two... It hurts so much, but I keep coming back for more, haha. Thank you for this beautiful and infinitely moving story. I'm gonna try still my tears before work starts for the day, haha. Hah. -sob

Ah.. i hate sad endings. actually this is the first sad endings i've read. fucker. i had 3 endings in my mind. 1. they'll just commit suicide together. 2. one character will eventually die in war or something.. 3. Lingyun will break up with Fengbo then commit suicide. and Lingyun ask Fengbo to fight with him so they could break up. without someone dying. Thank You. your so awesome!

anyways, no matter how much i fucking hate sad endings, this seems inevitable and you done with the most heartbreaking tearjerking, chest tighting (about to have heart attack) kind of way but subtlety. absolutely no overly drama because yeah, theyre still manly man. Thank You for sharing this to us :)
