I don't normally review oneshots because the story is done and has nothing to be added onto. But GOD. This was so extraordinary that I just couldn't handle not reviewing. Like gosh, that ending killed me. "She looks nothing like you...-I can't have children." I was just about ready to throw my laptop out the window. If there was writers like you publishing novels, I would get nothing done. I'd just keep reading your stories. I mean, come on, that ending is legendary. I have major respect for you and I'm really proud of your writing and stuff. You're by far one of the best writers I've seen in a while. You deserve more recognition than you have! Anyways, great job, and a note to all future readers- I highly recommend checking out this author's page and reading all of their stories!

I love short stories with a twist. This story reminds me of Chopin's Desiree's Baby.

Lol. I just wrote a (full of spelling and grammaticals) review on the firstly published version on how i had guessed the twist on the middle of the story and how I couldn't understand this guy's decision to stay with someone who can't trust him. But then again, we know nothing about this Lillian, do we? Anyway I still think the same.

whoa, huge plot twist. Definitely wasn't expecting that, but I liked it a lot!

What!? WHAT HAPPENED!? I really did not see that coming! At first I wondered why he wasn't 100% happy, but now I see.

I've read this one shot around 20 times since I first found it... and I still cry like a bitch every time. Words can't express how my heart breaks for this dude. In fact I've just realized thinking about this guy would be perfect if I was ever in a situation where I needed to fake-cry because I automatically tear up when I remember the ending.
I remember when I first read it I was so pissed at him. I could not understand how he (and his parents) could not be happy at the thought of having a baby with a woman he apparently loved, or at least why he didn't talk to her. Honestly I felt super bad for Lillian. Her characterization at the beginning made me feel like she was to nice and lovely of a person to be with someone like the guy. Then I got to the end and all I wanted to do was REPEATEDLY STAB THAT BITCH IN THE FACE WITH A DULL RUSTED SPOON. Violent I know, but it's all your fault for being such a great writer.
So thanks for sharing and sorry for the long review (I totally would write more but I need to go cry in the bathroom about the unfairness of life some more :P) that basically just said you're awesome and you're writing is awesome, even if it does the depress the crap out of people :).

That was so simple, yet so brilliant- the twist didn't occur to me at at all! somehow lovely and sad all at once; this read is going into my favorites for sure.

This was really good! I was afraid that I wasn't going to like it, but I do. It's really good for being under 1000 words.

this story gives me chills. I didn't pick up at the hints at all, and only realized the truth at the end. I read it again right after, and the hints were more noticeable. Fantastic story. The devotion is beautiful.

I am beyond speechless and I have no idea how to feel about this short story. It sounds like something I would do (marry the girl even though she cheated) that's why it affected me so much. I have no idea what kind of feedback I should give because I am so speechless therefore, my review shall end here.
