This was a beautiful little story. I wish it was longer but I really enjoyed the characters and the world building. I hope you continue in this world.

I wonder how they will progress, when Chael's indenture is paid, how exactly do they free him, can he choose to keep some of the cool martial arts skills? do all of his memories return? does he feel any conflict, or just reaffirm that he really loves Gregor? What new challenges might they face together? Does he become a permanent agent as well? A sequel could be interesting.

This was simply amazing. I'm impressed how much you were able to flesh out the alternate universe in the span of this short story. It made me want to read more.

Your characters, especially Chael, were solid and real to me. And the ending? That was very unexpected. Although, it did feel slightly rushed. Now I want to know more about the three siblings :)

I really liked this story. I didn't realize what story it was until I read it now and I actually remember it from before. Did you just fix it up or change the story around? Because i hadn't read the original in a while I don't see any obvious differences but what do I know. Anyway, really enjoyed the story!
