Oh, this is just gorgeous! I loved Matt and Simon and their evolving relationship so much. The little moments in their life together were just beautiful and sweet.

My heart broke along with Matt's when Simon left, but it was obviously necessary to get Matt to stand up to Walter and once again pursue his dream.

Oh, my, that was beautiful, amazing. I loved it. There was one comment I wanted to make, but it seemed so small and insignificant after I finished reading. Well, I'll say it anyway. I'm pretty sure in England undergrads only attend school for 3 years.

i was so excited to find this story (and you) on fp! i had to cancel my subscription to lt3 before you finished posting this, which made me sad because i was really enjoying it! so, yay!

i love the relationship you build with these boys. matt is wonderful and i totally understand the insecurities and uncertainty about what to do with his life and his begrudging willingness to go along with his uncle's plans for him; sometimes it's just easier to have someone lay the path out for you, especially when you're scared to continue forging your own. but i love love love that simon drew him back to his real passion and forced him to face up to it and find the bravery to risk doing what he loves.

it was charming and sweet and kind of uplifting in some ways. and i thoroughly enjoyed it!

i seriously love this story but i dnt get why simon left

It was a sweet story. It dragged in some parts, but all together I thought it was sweet. I would have loved to see more detail in Simon and Matt's relationship developing, and more to the dynamic of Matt and Walter's relationship. But like I said, all together it was good. :) Nice job!

This was amazing! :D I'm in love with your story and your characters T_T I loved what you did with them and that at the end Matt could pursue his dreams and be with Simon. I loved it so much that I'm kind of incoherent right now. I'm just going to favorite this. I really hope you can get this published! P.S. I'm learning French right now so I could understand the little bit of french that was in the story.

NO. THIS STORY CANNOT ONLY HAVE 29 (okay, 30 with me) REVIEWS. IT. IS. SO. BRILLIANT. When Simon left, I was just saying, "No, no, no," but it was perfect because it wasn't cliched (or not as much...?), and Matt's realization that he did want to become a musician? Priceless. It wasn't even a, "Okay, I want to be a musician," response that came after one hour of talking with someone: It made sense. The characters were real, the plot worked, there wasn't some random smut to liven things up...This is going to be a one-shot I reread a lot...

You have an amazing style. Absolutely beautiful. The emphasis on emotional over physical is sweet and gives realistic depth. I love Matt's progress in overcoming his fear of following his dreams; it's inspiring for people like me who're choosing the safe path over the more satisfying ideals. Got me thinking over my plans again. The story builds up to the inevitable where Matt makes the decision, thanks to Simon, and the audience knows they highly likely and most probably live happily ever after. Je l'aime.

Honestly, I can't really find the words to describe how happy the ending made me, how touching I found their courtship and the process of getting to know each other.

oh man, this story really made my chest ache with happiness. this is like... beauty in written form. honest. this is one of the few stories that move at a slow, wonderful pace (whereas a lot of other stories i've read are filled with lust and only lust).

i'm not one for reading things... real, i guess, because i prefer to have my head in the clouds than to face reality. but this story made me feel very, very happy.
