Reviews for Pas Comme Ca
Random chapter 1 . 7/4/2010
Very cliche but I liked it and it worked well, the changing of languages was good but maybe some more translations in places so people who dont understand french can experience it but mostly it was good and simple. An enjoyable read.

Wow. All I can say is...wow. I loved this story. I loved Matt's angst and his thoughts and...everything! I love Simon and his art/gallery shows and I love how everything works out in the end. I'm not ashamed to say that this story had me tearing up a little at parts. I don't know what else to say...I loved this - I love the style and I love the tone and I love everything about it!

Thank you so much for writing this!

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I'm reading this late, so, sorry for the not eloquent review, but it was really good. Great job!
Ben Tramsami chapter 1 . 4/18/2010
*applause* Very nice! I actually cried when Matt told Simon about his mother and sister. I love it when authors can make me feel such sincere emotions for their characters. :) Keep up the good work!

I adore this story, just so you know. It's seriously amazing. I just...yeah. lol Both the characters are great, and I usually dislike present tense, but it really worked for this story. Thanks for sharing. )

And here I was wondering how this story could only have 17 reviews.. But seeing as it was only published on the second of this month, the blindedbyrage (brought forth from the utter injustice of it) has kinda simmered down :P

Excellent story. Loved every second of it.. The characters, the setting, the fact that Matt's worst enemy was his all too human fear.. And how he eventually broke free of that for his music, and for Simon

Also, especially the French parts of the convo. I liked how you kept the language in there, but made it to where I didn't have to run to a translator throughout the whole fic.

All in all.

Nice job
Twisted vine chapter 1 . 4/12/2010
This story is so sweet and lovely and all things good.
virus-of-blossoms chapter 1 . 4/8/2010
WOW. This is the best story I have read in my life and believe it when I say I've read a LOT. Like more than a lot. And not only on FanFiction or FictionPress but published books as well.

You have taken me through so many emotions that no other book has made me experience before... I laughed, was happy, felt miserable, cried... was scared...

And the French speaking? Goddamn that sexy language! It is so passionate and endearing... and the french stereotype? I am totally in need of one. :D

So yeah this is the best best best favourite thing I've read... EVER.

Continue writing.

That story was amazing I actually laughed and cried at some parts, it was an instant favorite.
NirgalNao chapter 1 . 4/5/2010
Hi loved the story. Characters are well built and the conversations between Simon and Matt have a natural feel except for the french. "Es-tu d'accord" means "Do you agree" in french. You'd rather say something like "ça va? Vous avez rien cassé?" And Matt would reply "Non, non ça va bien"

There are lot's of small mistakes like that in your french. To be honest, for people who do know french it breaks the flow of the story and that's a real pitty because it's a good story.
Sarah chapter 1 . 4/4/2010
