Kariz chapter 1 . 4/3/2010 Oh god the end when Simon just left, broke my heart. I cried for Matt. Well to be honest I randomly teared in a lot of places because of matt and his angst. Your style of writing is jizz worthy~~ I loved everything about this story T_T I'm sad that it's completed. I wish we could see more about their future, but that's just me being greedy. I think it ended in a perfect place and it left so much room for interpretation. It was like reaching the light at the end of a tunnel and realizing there's an endless amount of crossroads available just outside the tunnel (if that even makes any sense). Sorry it's 2AM and im typing on my itouch so I'm slightly incoherent. But I loved this so much and I'm still feeling teary eyed about all the angst and fluff guh. Sorry I can't offer much constructive criticism... I just really love it. This review is just cause of that. Love it! |
GraceDemon chapter 1 . 4/3/2010 I'm actually writing this the morning after I read it because I was up past 1 in the morning reading. I just could not stop once I got started. I found it interesting that you put it into one long chapter instead of breaking it up into chapters, but it definitely keeps the flow of the story. The style of writing is also different from what I usually see and I actually really enjoyed it. You really got into the head's of the characters and could easily picture them in your mind. Even though it is fiction, the end is very inspirational and I think people who read this will really start to think about what they are doing in life and whether it is what they want to do. |

Kati katthen72yahoo.com chapter 1 . 4/2/2010 I loved this it's very sweet and their relationship is more realistic than many of the stories a person tends to find here. The way you show Matt's struggle with his dream to be a musician is beautifully done as well. It isn't just some sudden jump from one decision to the next it's well transitioned like a real person would reason it out. The fact that sex doesn't seem to be a major focus in the story is a welcome relief as well. Many of the authors here seem to love focusing on it like it is the defining point of peoples' relationships and it makes the writing seem juvenile. I wish you the best in getting this into the anthology. ~Kati |

Kanilla chapter 1 . 4/2/2010 I actually think I'm about to cry now. This was long, and normally I'd say it was too long, but I couldn't stop reading, and somewhere after the first two minutes I was hooked and gobbling it up like it was luxury brand chocolate. I loved how the start of their relationship was so careful, so gentle and uncertain the way normal people start liking each other- not focused on sex and arousal right from the start, which so many stories are. Matt and Simon suit each other perfectly. Though, I'll have to admit that I fell harder for Matt, despite Simon being the artist. I should be able to relate more to Simon, because I know exactly how it feels not to be able to draw what's inside your head, that glorious image that you see there but can't recreate on paper. But somehow I recognize myself in Matt, as nervous and scared and wonderfully dutiful that he is. It's scary. Also, I'm a total sucker for French, so that helped make me fall harder. French is the sexiest language on the planet earth, no doubt, and that they both could speak it was a gift to me as a reader. Normally I prefer a bittersweet (or wholly bitter) ending to stories, but this happy ending was -needed-. Thank you for writing this piece. I enjoyed it immensely. -Kanilla |
