You kinda stink for leaving us on a cliffhanger. But I get why you did it. All I really have to say is"OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG SHE CANNOT DIE! Gah! But i'm happy Richards dead. That guy was bad news from day one. And wait she's prego too so if she dies than he never gets to meet his son or daughter! I don't think your that mean... Well I hope not at least! Also I would have flipped out at the sheriff, I don't know how Jake could keep his temper for even 1 second. PLEASE update soon!

So I totally called the fact that Richard was behind this all. And I really want to kill him. Also she should have like hid behind the door and then shot him. But oh well. All I have to say is if her and the baby die i'm going to freak. Great chapter by the way

I like the cliffhanger, but I felt that the reveal where Richard shows that he is behind everything felt a little too much like an evil villain's speech in a cheesy action film, sorry. maybe you could try to make it a little less like a typical reveal, or build his character as although I like that he is finally playing his part it still seems a little strange that he was just 'there' in the background the whole time.

I feel like it's been forever since I've read this story so I decided to reread the last chapter or two to recall it. I don't even remember if I read this chapter or not... But I was also partially wondering if you were going to update anytime soon... i'm not trying to be pushy or rude i'm just wondering. I hope you had a great holiday :]

Well, I can't say that I feel as sorry for Eve as I think I'm supposed to; after all she married Josh knowing she didn't love him completely, so I can't help but think she kinda got her just desserts...

That said, I still love your story; I like the fact it's not all high school and cellphones and cliches - while there are predictable elements to it, there's still a sense of originality, especially with the rural setting and the fact the story spreads over several years.

Keep it up, I shall certainly be checking out your other works :)

OMG...Richard that bastard! It has to be him. I knew he was just biding his time to do something terrible. Poor Lefty! I hate that he was caught in the crossfires.

At least Jake and Eve are getting married. Despite it being a reaction to her terror, at least it made her realize that she can move on. She was so over Josh at that point anyway and it was just devastating that he died. That didn't change the fact that she wasn't in love with him anymore...and how could she love him after what he did to her - keeping her from Jake, keeping Jake from James, cheating on her (not that she can say much in that department) - bleh!

Well I hope we get an update soon so we can have some closure on this! Great chapter and story!

Don't worry about how long it takes to update, just as long as it doesn't take more than 6 mo. People tend to lose interest if you take 'too' long. But, your writing seems to be worth a little extra wait.
