Great chapter. I like how you just dived straight into the story at the very start. I was a great way to begin.

Perhaps you could have said how Checka's was coming first? The boys seemed both way physically fitter, and I wonder if there was some deliberate slowing down on their part.

I thinks really great that you put in some interaction with Luke. Though he is a somewhat main character, there hasn't been little one on one communication with him and Checka.

Can't wait to read the next chapter!
