I only drink scotch, and I spent a year in the American South recently. This may not have too too much to do with your poetry, but I've just returned home with a bottle of The Famous Grouse and I'm very fond of you.

i like how the last line is contradictory;

antithesis, that's the word.

you usually are so animalistically passionate.

i don't ever remember you asking for a boy to just call you.

but i hope he does, if that's what you still want.

you have an interesting understanding of the world.

but i think it would be an overload of

images and witty lines and bukowski,

and my brain would hang itself.

i really like the last three lines.

you incorporate the most random rhyme,

and it ends up sounding magical.

i also like the start.

she said yes. makes me wonder what the question was.

it's like shakespeare - he always opens

in the middle of a fight scene,

in the middle of sex, or in the middle

of a conversation. it makes you curious.
