I first read this story three years ago, back when I was too shy to leave comments. I happened to reread for the first time in a while today, and wow! Your writing is just as brilliant as I remember. I absolutely adore Jade. He's one of my favorite characters of yours, and I relate to both him and West quite a bit. Rereading TSOS made me feel really happy and light, and I can't thank you enough. I really love this story. I have read it quite a few times now and I find myself really looking forward to certain moments, especially Jade and Wes' trips into the woods! The relationship between those two is so lovely. And of course I love all the parts with pitfall in them :) Thank you for writing a really great story!

I loved this! I was really worried about how the sex scene was going to be handled after all that had been made of Westar not being that interested in it, but I ended up really enjoying how it played out and what Westar focused on.

No, wait, I should backtrack, because I was worried about so much of this story- I worried in the beginning that Lee was going to be pushed aside somehow, or how that situation was going to be handled, but the story was very calm and sweet (just like Westar himself) and not, as I had feared, full of jealousy and sniping. It's just full of people who love each other and love each other in different ways, and I love the way you handled all of that. Just because Lee and Westar aren't sexually compatible doesn't mean that they don't love each other, and that in turn doesn't mean that Jade and Westar DON'T love each other. This story is so full of all kinds of love that it makes me smile, and I'm so glad I kept reading despite my initial trepidation.

This is beautiful and a kind of love story that I don't see often, and each part was written note-perfect to my tastes. I know you didn't do that on purpose, but thank you anyway. This was great fun to read, and I anticipate rereading it in the future.

So I've been binge reading your Jewel story and this one because I recommended them to a friend as two of my favorite brothel stories of all time (Jewel being among my top five favorite fics), and I had to read them again since it's been so long. I am so glad I did. They're both just as stunningly detailed and well written as I remembered. Thank you so so much for writing these fantastic stories. 3 3 3

Yeah, I totally thought the narrator was Lime Jade, and I was highly confused until I got about halfway down when the green hair and eyes were mentioned.

I really quite liked this story - up until the epilogue. That's not completely true - I liked the beginning part of the epilogue, with Jade being distant and Wes being hurt. But then there were a few lines where I was like 'wait what? Is he back in love with Lee again?' - there were a few gestures and things he did/said that hinted towards him still being infatuated with Lee, and nothing to gainsay it. It also struck me as VERY weird that when Jade was talking to that lady and went to the room with her, Wes only felt desire. I was very much yelling out 'WAIT WHAT IS GOING ON'. I expected Wes to go to the ball and see that happening and feel jealous and/or hurt - certainly not desire! That truly does not make sense to me. I understand that you were trying to make a point of him feeling desire, I guess? But it just made me feel like Wes had gotten over being all in love with Jade and just felt lust towards him, which he denied in an earlier chapter.

I really hate to say this, since I love all the other stories I've read from you, but I was a bit disappointed by this. Even though the end of the last chapter was very abrupt, I would've rather it finish there.

I love it when authors set challenges for themselves and defy clichés. I did enjoy this story, and the fact that it didn't take the easy, formulaic city/country path. Jade's speech patterns were different from those in Jewel, though, and little of his abrasiveness came through. He was one of my favorite characters, so I missed that.

While I really enjoyed Intrigue, there was something about the earnestness of Wes that was really easy to connect to and fall in love with. A fantastic story on its own.

This story was awesome. Westar, as a character, was one of my most favorite. There are very few stories that have characters of this type, and to find them is always a treasure. Thank you for making and writing this, and sharing it with the world.

This is the only story on FP that I have read multiple times, and I absolutely adore it. Actually, I was just popping by for another couple hours of reading amazing writing and I felt that instead of simply lurking, I should probably voice my appreciation.

This was cute. Was the mask detail in the first story? I only remembered Viper being given the mask to keep people from attacking him (sic, I'm not going to go into the complicated purpose of a prop you invented xD)
Also, in the picture, shouldn't jade's jacket be backwards? and exposing his back? ahaha I just noticed those were fingers in his hair, when i thought they were just a part of it in the click above haha

This story is written really, really well. The characters you created are just so lovable and I absolutely love the dynamic between Westar and Jade. There is something breathtaking about their transition from being strangers to lovers. It's like they are meant to be. The transition was also very smooth and beautiful, flowing in such a flawless way. Your solution of giving them a near happily-ever-after was brilliant and realistic. I'm really glad to have come across this story.
