On the topic of reviewing... I think you could have made the bit with Jade crying a bit more... poignant? It totally made me go "oh no!" but it seemed to cut off really fast. Maybe you could have Wes hear them talking and then hear Jade break down?

Oh and also, are you ever going to elaborate on the bit about Jade's real name? Just wondering.

That said, I love this chapter. I love Wes's stoic misery, Jade's inability to explain himself, Sebastian's general existence. WANT MORE NOW.

appealed to me, because there's just something about kissing that is the link (or something) for drawing people closer. it's personal and intimate.. so, wow. i love the pace you have with this story. I love that you are letting the characters be both fussy and self-discovering. i love that it's not all a ''jump in the hay stack'' as soon as possibly to appease the 'lust' demons w/in us all, at the same time the way you are playing this out it really lends to the possibility of being something more than just a 'fling' for Jade. Or so the little romance fairy w/in me hopes, eversomuch. _

I hadn't bothered reviewing before this because I was positive you would have hundreds of reviews by now. I then looked and was shocked and appalled. I guess everyone was like me and assumed everyone else was reviewing!

I'm LOVING this story. I admittedly like it better than the Crown Jewels. It's just so sweet and I love all the characters. Whenever I read it a good ache starts in my chest. So I hope you don't throw too many wrenches into their path to happiness! The writing and pacing is lovely and I love Wes! And frankly, I would hate the name Star for him! lol

It puts me in the mind of a cheap stripper down at the Peppermint Hippo (if anyone got that reference, I'm proud).

Wes, or West, makes me think of someone reliable, sweet, and disarmingly intelligent. Sound like someone you know? ;D

You've gone and made my dearest wish come true. I found myself giggling aloud many times as I read this chapter. Embarrassing, since my lover was trying to sleep XD but it's kinda hard to care when you're just that enthralled.

I regret not having reviewed every single chapter. Perhaps I shall reread the story and put the appropriate reviews where they belong. So much I wanted to say to you. So much I got too embarrassed about and shied away from...

this chapter was so sweet and some of the sentences jake said took a while to understand, I gotta admit that, although since Wes didn't guess the ones I didn't or maybe more, I'm not worried... LOL

I'm really happy to see them together... alone... in the snow... did I mention together? no, well, I can't ask for more than that... although the kiss was the cherry on the top of the cake!

and their warming up technique is very good, I'm happy Wes did it even though Jake would probably say no if he asked him :P

I can't wait for the next update!

this was so sweet - it's interesting to see how both of their backgrounds affect their ideas of affection, and what they usually seek out. westar is so cute, haha, with the beavers statement.

i'm in the middle of reading intrigue at the crowned jewel, too, and it was interesting to see jade as a side character in that - made this story that much more interesting. (:

Wes is too adorable, in a, "are you real?" kind of way.

The scene with just the two of them in the woods was so sweet, so awkward, so innocent. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

I look forward to the next chapter. Perhaps their relationship will strengthen? It will be sad to see Jade leave poor, clueless Wes behind.
