Very nice use of descriptive nouns; really draws the reader in and makes them feel the scenery! I really love that in a book! Great work :)

XD I really do sense that eventually Shane and Tobi will meet. It is sure to be very interesting when they do. But no matter what happens, I will always be TEAM TOBI! Sorry Shane.

I can't believe Elle would be so quick to want to kill Shane! I may not be very fond of him but... I blame my love of vampires in general :D Mia is just awesome! Flinging herself in front of sharp objects to protect people! She seems quite fearless, which I really like about her.

But oh my goodness, that dream! I LOVE TOBI! *Ahem.* XD

I have a feeling Shane is going to somehow go there with Mia. Hopefully it was just symbolism for competition and they won't really try and fight to the death o_o.

Is it bad that I like the idea of Mia/Tobias over Mia/Shane? Tobias is so much more likable than Shane! At least for me. Maybe I just feel like all Shane wants from Mia is to research her abilities and that's all he really cares about. But then at the same time, he seems to genuinely care for her safe return. I still love Tobias though!

And you know what? Go as graphic on the battle scene as you want! Not to sound like a freak or anything, but I love gore, so I wouldn't be grossed out by it XD.

I hope nothing happens to Gil! And especially Tobias! Really, REALLY can't wait for more!

I have to say, this chapter was pretty cute! It was kind of weird how the vampire traits were changing Shane! It was strange seeing him talk in a... not very smart way at first XD.

We all already knew Mia was going to lose that bet! But she doesn't seem to mind :D I thought you did a good job with the vampiness! I wonder how he is going to deal with it at school. It seems like he wouldn't be able to expose his secret either. So hopefully Andy doesn't make him too mad XD.

Whoa what! Shane is possibly a vampire? I... am not sure what to think of that. If he is one, how didn't he know he was until now? But it will be interesting to see your take on the vampire race. I am curious to know what exactly a red blood vampire is.

Earlier in the chapter he was being so rude! I was actually glad Mia slapped him! Served him right! And the part with Haley XD. I would have gotten bored with him too, honestly. I wouldn't know what to talk about with someone THAT smart.

And Andy is so... ugh. I was actually surprised Mia was even talking to him after his pervy comment. At least the teeth situation was a distraction from answering his question XD.

Good thing it worked! But probably because most of what she said was true! I mean, I think it would be too soon for them to be in love, but liking him a lot is believable :D. Obviously it will turn to love later!

I wonder if somehow, Shane will go to the realms with her. That, or his knowledge of Mia's abilities will get him in trouble with the Council!

Her grandmother was easily charmed XD. I found that to be amusing. But from his description, it seems Shane would be able to charm anyone he wanted. Me included. XD.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

I think this might come off as a little constructive, but I'm really not much of a critic XD.

The past few chapters have all taken place over one day. I think these feelings between them are all happening too soon. It is actually more believable from Mia, but not Shane. I feel like he has kind of lost the personality you intended him to have. If he has always disregarded women, why the sudden interest in Mia? It's more understandable now that he knows her secret. But he seemed interested in her even before that. It would have been more believable if they stayed aquiantances for a bit longer before he found out about her. Maybe even have a few chapters that let the readers understand what's going on with her before Shane really knows.

Though honestly, I love the banter between the two. For me, that's what makes up for the entire paragraph I just wrote XD. You can tell he isn't used to someone firing back at him, and that he likes it.

You left a cliffhanger! I wonder what Shane is going to say about that! Is that really going to change her aunt's mind?

I smiled when she said her family was from Scandinavia. I might be American, but I'm of Swedish descent, and pretty darn proud :D

I wonder what Shane is going to think if he meets her grandma and aunt. And then I wonder what they will think if she brings a friend in the house. And a guy friend at that!

The only problem I noticed is Shane said he'd take her home. But he is fourteen? I'm not sure if in certain states you can be fourteen to drive, but where I live we can't get our permit until we are sixteen. But it might not even really be a problem! It could just be a matter of where this takes place.
