Splendid! Absolutely splendid! This read like one of my fantasies. . . Mind you, I was fantasizing the whole time. Ahem.

The little lore we got from the universe was interesting. I was wondering how exactly Aaron became the god of genies. But then that means your gods can be. . . Without exact purpose. And I'd still like to know about the connection to Egypt. Or rather. . . Near Egypt. I have my theories, but I'm not certain yet. Also, how did Rene become a (not the?) god of fate? Questions! Questions!

I do hope the answers are satisfying! Anyways, good job so far.

Well, this is new. It seems that after the Twilight craze hit, there's been a massive influx of pairings of a fantastical with a non-fantastical. And it seems everybody is clawing for that edge. That supernatural being that makes their's more awesome.

Like this other fic I read (slash), the guy fell in love with an angel type of thing. Oh my god.

Anyway, I usually avoid these kind of stories, as they rather have a set formula - the two meet, mystery surrounds the yet unexposed fantastical being, things get along well, non-fantastical finds out, non-fantastical is under threat from some other fantastical being(s).

You see, I hate formulas. Sort of. It's more a love-hate type of thing. I'm more into the non-fantasy stuff, and I missed that your story wasn't labeled as such. So imagine my surprise when in chapter 2 or 3, can't remember, I find out Aaron is a god!

Bear with me, my first reviews are usually essays. ;)

But - I made it to chapter 11, and I must say, it was a pleasant read so far. A few minor snags, sure, but I found your story as a perfect means of escaping for a few hours. And that's brilliant entertainment - the ones that sweeps away, without ever making false claims about changing your life.

Who the hell am I? I'm a guy whose life is about entertainment. It's my job, it's my love life, it's my free time, so I tend to see it in a more philosophical way than most.

Just know that you're doing quite allright. Better than most fantasy romance stories, I have to add.

Okay. I read this story in one sitting and...wow. I'm in love! ;3 First, this story is written fantastically. Second, the chemistry between Aaron and Mace is GREAT. Feels really genuine. Love it!
