Nice :)

I love this story so much. I can't wait to see how both Tony and Chris react to Justin's attempts to get out from under Tony's thumb. I wonder if the photographer is going to become another competing character? I really love all these characters, with all their obsessions and flaws. I'm looking forward to the next update!

Hey, I have a theory about Justin. I think what he was expecting back in the day of the Big Betrayal was that Tony would come out smelling like a rose because he always did and he would be as forceful and pissed as he is now (but still in love with Justin, and not all contorted and distorted with irrational hate), and that this way Justin could engineer the kind of relationship he really wanted - which was sort of like what is going on but loving in its weird way and mutually consensual. The key thing is that bit where Justin is complaining that Tony is so _nice_ - at first I thought it was because it made it impossible to cast him as the villain, or at least the conqueror, which is what he wanted.

I thought of this days ago and while I was mentalaly preparing a PM about it, out comes this ch8apter which I am going to say confirms it.

djhhuzysdk I keep re-reading this story because it's so fucking good and it flows so well.

I've recently read all thirteen chapters of Ventures and Investments in one ago - and the newest one today - and I must say I totally, completely and utterly love it. In fact, it shouldn't even surprise me considering you are one of my favorite authors here at the FP, and your works have always left huge impression of me.

But I digress. Justin is an amazing main character. Despite all his faults and past transgressions, you just can't help but love him and root for him. And the fact that he's changing, and he is growing as a character makes me love him even more. Plus, he actually has great self-awareness for someone who has led the life he led, and has made the choices he made.
Tony... Tony terrifies me a little. His obsessiveness is extremely unhealthy and bordering on abusive. And it's not like it's Justin who made him that way, not really. It was in him from the very beginning. That unsettling little streak. Which then grew due to unfortunate circumstances to consume almost all of him. At least, I hope there is a part of him, which is still unblemished. But I don't know if I should hold my breath. I begin to think it's impossible for him to change. His issues are too big. It wouldn't be so bad if he was not a danger to others, but he is.
Chris... I don't know what to think of him, but I'm apprehensive. He is spoiled prince, and he treats Justin like his plaything. But he is not completely without good qualities, so I'm hoping he won't fully enter the dark side.

I just can't imagine Justin with either of them. They are really, really bad for each other.
I want Justin to get some therapy, became a photographer like he has always wanted, and to live HIS life, not a life of his crappy father.

My face is meeting my palm. Lol Whaaat is wrong with both Tony and Chris? I am starting to feel bad for Justin. Haha Man I'm hooked. More please!

I liked this chapter. It would be nice if Justin followed his dream and become photographer. And I still like and hate Tony at the same time. I wish they finally sorted out their problems, admitted their true colors...and be happy together already!

Oh man, so much angst! I really really want Justin to follow his dreams and be happy. Chris and Tony just physically override him and just want him to feel empowered and find actual love. Love love love your work.

Once again, you have given us another powerful chapter. Tony is still the most unlikeable yet confusing character to me in this story. He says he hates Justin and wants to ruin his life, but at the same time he wants Justin all to himself and completely depended on him. Like a said in previous comments, I really hope that Justin doesn't fall in love with him any time soon. Their relationship just wouldn't be healthy or right at this point. Plus I don't want to see Tony winning.

I also feel bad for Chris, espically in this chapter when Tony answer Justin phone to purposly let Chris hear them. That was just wrong.

On a good point, I'm happy that Justin is considering commercial work. Maybe now he can finally live out his dream.

Words can't describe how much I loved the ending of this chapter. Justin is finally taking control of his life, as he should have done ages ago. I'm not usually vulgar, but my feelings right now toward Tony can be summarized with two simple words: Fuck. You.
I feel sorry for the person he was, but I have no sympathy for the person he has become. He is sick, abusive and I hope his company falls apart. He deserves it. A person filled with desire to own, to control, to hurt and to twist people weaker than he is should not be granted power over other human beings. So, yeah, fuck you, Tony.
I hope Chris doesn't turn into him. I hope Justin somehow manages to save him and then let him go. Spoiled and irresponsible and childish as Chris is, I hope he will eventually become a star and have a serious relationship with somebody (who is not Justin).
Justin I can only cheer for. He deserves to become really successful as a photographer and, more importantly, to continue growing and maturing as a human being. There is no greater favor he can do himself an dno better way to say 'fuck you' to Tony (how many times have I said it in this review? :D).

Anyway, this was a great chapter. I can't wait to find out what happens next :D
