This one really touched me! I think it may be to do with the fact that she's a psychologist... (the career i aspire to be) and although you're right, the ending IS sweet, we went through a lot before we finally got to it! we NEEDED it! yknow?

and the whole memory thing is something that has also intrigued me. i seriously think it may be because of the notebook... which is a little alarming how a story can affect someone so much. anyway yeah! great story!

if i could write one story that was as good as this, that'd be a life goal complete haha :)

Beautifully written,a few typos and tense changes here and there but you captured the grief and desperation really well :)

Just one error I would like to point out...

"Then why did she leave me?" The pain was unexpected at those words. He tried not to touch his chest. God. If this woman loved him, why wasn't she with him?

Tom observed him, an inward battle going through his eyes. Alex could see it. His next words knocked the wind out of him.

"Christabel forbade her to."

Tom's answer doesn't make sense - Alex asked why she left, so Tom's answer should be 'Christabel MADE her.' Am I right?

Other than that, loved it!
