![]() ![]() ![]() as i read your poetry,,it keeps getting better...guess life in general is all about progression,and the way your going,if you havent got a book deal,or a constant slot in a dusty jazz poets bar in 12years,ill be shocked...anyway ill stop blowing your poem trumpet,and review...''Silent nights, though beautiful, can strike at the mind wanders, and I can't help myself.'' to start with this line,engaged me,and most people i'd of though,silence can twist in meaning..and id like to learn how to shut my brain off...i felt them words though,like i did the other many great others...like...''Small-talk isolates us, so I say what is required. You said time heals. I say it widens the gap. I see that smile with those lines drawn on your face, written with worry. You told me to take my memories, To dig myself a little hole were they can be cherished inside my heart. All is meant well but you forget that the mind betrays a person. Words go fleeting until I jumble what was said. Images blur until there are no faces there. Sounds become inaudible, and the Smell of that old leather jacket leaves me. Memories aren't authentic.'you truly are superb,seriously,its like youve crawled in my head with your wordplay... |
